Story
Meet Mona! This sweetheart of a short stack is an adopter’s dream. She is affectionate, cuddly, personable, and tolerant. She is friendly with dogs, cats, and children. While dog-friendly, she much prefers the company of humans and won’t make the best playmate. True to her basset hound lineage, Mona loves to explore the world with her nose and enjoys neighborhood walks that allow her to do so. Also due to her breed lineage, she can be vocal at times - nothing crazy, but shared-walled neighbors should be provided a heads up as she’ll occasionally let out a basset bay. Mona loves following her people around the house, chewing on bones in the sun, and cuddling during Netflix binges. She is lower in energy, housebroken, and kennel trained. To add this charming companion to your home, apply today! (Looking for a puppy? Check out Mona’s puppies! Tom and Jerry are also available for adoption!) Mona is a 5-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $400 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Mona is also tested with other dogs, children, cats, kennel trained, and housebroken. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
