Story
Bellie is truly the “belle of the ball” in her foster home! The 5-year-old brindle and white beauty who puts all of her 40 pounds into LOVING, could easily exist on a steady diet of affection. Supremely sweet, quiet and calm, she loves snuggling and cuddling with her foster mom and uses her paws constantly to ask for more love, pets and attention. Not only does Bellie do beautifully with older children, she’s very friendly towards everyone, even strangers on the street, greeting them with plenty of happy tail wags. Fond of going on walks, honing her leash skills along the way, she also loves following scents in the grass and taking rides in the car. As cute as a young puppy whenever she gets a toy, Bellie likes plush dog toys, filled Kongs and lick mats, is motivated by love, toys and food, answers to her name, and knows “come,” “sit” and “leave it.” Crate trained and almost fully house-trained, Bellie, who’s being treated for heartworm disease requires more rest than activity, but she will, unquestionably, adore longer walks and more playtime once she’s fully recovered. Now this most loving of people pets is best suited to an equally loving family without cats, perhaps as their only pet, that will continue her socialization with other dogs, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her in cuddles fur-ever.    Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Ranger is a guy’s guy. He really loves the fellas, and wants to be your best bud in the tree house with No GiRls AlLoWeD on the sign. If you have another pup around the house, even better. Ranger is smart, a little shy, and needs a friend who can manage his energy. He is still a puppy, and eager to learn with someone who is willing to take the time to teach him about being a good boy. What would make Ranger happiest? A friend who will take him hiking and camping, and give him quiet evenings on the porch sipping tea and watching the sun dip below the mountains. He’d like some toys and a bed of his own. He wants someone to give him some lessons to use his smart noodle brain – we recommend puzzle toys! Ranger is a mix of several things – big paws, floppy ears, soulful eyes, and currently a little too much belly (we can relate!) – for his health, it would be good to get started on a spring health plan with you, his new best bud, working up to those longer activities. Ranger is a Taurus, with all that entails. We’ll be honest – as long as you tell him WHY you want him to do something, he’ll figure out that you’ve got his best interests at heart, but he can be a little stubborn. We think that he’ll relax a bit more once he knows he’s in a safe and comfortable permanent home. Want to meet Ranger? Please fill out an adoption application on our website linked below. https://dogrescuecolorado.org/dogs/ranger-2/
