Story
Steve has heart-stopping good looks, accented by his floppy ears! And nothing seems to rattle this way too cool boy, except maybe moles. We took him for a day out at a farm recently and we couldn't figure out why he kept barking at the grass. Can't say we've ever seen that before. It wasn't until the owner of the farm told us that she had moles that we figured out what Steve was carrying on about. He didn't get a chance to dig any moles up but he was definitely on the hunt! After a long day of searching for moles and meeting farm animals, Steve let us know he was tired and ready to return to New Leash on Life by jumping in the car. Of course, he got in on the driver's side but since he's only ten years old, he doesn't have his license yet. Sorry Steve! In case you're wondering, Steve is what we call a Bagle Hound, a Basset/Beagle mix. Typical of his mix, he's laid-back and easy-going, he does well with kids, and other dogs. If this cool dude sounds like he would fit in with your family, make an appointment to spend some time with Steve then you can adopt him for $75. **All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted by families willing to have their pets be allowed inside - especially at night and during extreme weather. No dog is allowed to be put on a "tie out or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced-in yard. ** Not ready to adopt? Help care for Steve with your donation to New Leash on Life. (Pet ID D22-125)

Stephen is a very energetic puppy who loves adventures and playing with other dogs. He would do best in a home with a backyard where he can run and play, but also would like to sleep in a nice comfy bed in the house. Stephen is already neutered, microchipped, and is current on vaccines and flea/heartworm prevention. If you are ready to meet your new best friend, you can adopt Stephen for $150. **All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be allowed inside-especially at night. Story
Meet Fred! Fred is a 4 year old beagle who came to us from animal control very skinny and continuing to lose weight. After running several tests, we found that he doesn't digest his food properly and needs medication added to his food to help him properly absorb the nutrients. Since being started on the medication, he has gained weight and is a happy, friendly guy. His foster mom had a farm so he has been exposed to cats, dogs, chickens, and other animals and he did great with them. He will need to be kept on the medication for life and we would be happy to answer any other questions that you have. Fred has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea prevention. If you are interested in giving this sweet boy a home, you can adopt him for $150. **All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be allowed inside-especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a "tie out" or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced in yard.**
