Through a partnership with another rescue, Geauga Moms and Pups, we pulled Layla to find a loving forever home. Lyla is a female hound mix that weighs 10 pounds and is currently 3 months old. DOB is 7-27-24. Layla is black and tan. She is happy, playful, and full of energy. She is good with other dogs. She has not been exposed to cats or other small furry pets or children. Layla will need help with general obedience, leash training, housetraining and socialization. Layla is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster her in your home until she finishes vetting which includes vaccines and microchip. Layla is already spayed. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Layla. Layla’s adoption fee is $200. Please remember that puppies are a lifetime commitment. They require a lot of work and patience but they will be your most loyal companion for life. If you are ready to dedicate time and work into a puppy, get your applications in. This baby won’t be around long.

Story
Ren was adopted in April 2023 from a rescue in KY. He is approx 3 years old, born in Oct-ish of 2021. From what we know about him, he was basically living in a barn and was picked on by other male dogs, so he is not very welcoming to them so far. He has gotten along well with female dogs, but isn't too socialized yet. We have a cat and two children, he gets along well with all three. He is very friendly with all people. He has occasional indoor potty accidents. He's curious and energetic. Squeaky and crinkle toys are a hit! He's very smart and has benefited from enrichment toys. We are looking to rehome him because when adopted we were told he is a lapdog, he is not. Our schedules don't allow us to give him all the attention that he needs. He loves walks/runs, play time with balls/thrown toys (not so good at bringing them back to be thrown again, but could definitely be taught by a patient human), tug-of-war time, etc. He's a very good boy, we just aren't a good fit together.
