Story
River was found as a stray in WV. He was very scared in the shelter and really needed a rescue to step in and help. HART did and he is now in a foster home learning life isn't so scary. River is a very sweet and submissive dog who will need a patient person, or people, with experience with scared dogs. We will also consider people with dog experience and the willingness to work with a scared dog. In his foster home he is very attached to his primary person and is still nervous around other people and new environments. He does best with a lot of structure (leash, crate, schedule and supervision) and the help of a confident dog in the home to lead the way. He will require time to adjust but the effort you put in will definitely come back tenfold in love. He is not aggressive with little ones, but with his current temperament and being scared they may be too much for him. He would do best in a calm, adult only home with a yard and another dog. River is crate trained (you must have treats though) and house trained although sometimes has accidents if left unattended. He is great with his foster brothers but is generally anxious (some dogs don't like this behavior). River is not currently attending adoption events as they are very overwhelming. If interested in meeting him, please fill out an application online. If it's a good fit we may set up a meet and greet at a quiet place. River may require multiple meet-ups so he can feel more comfortable with his potential adopters. Thank you for your interest in River Dog! Story
❗Current location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Meet Goodo👋 a sweet lovable boy with cute curved ears! Goodo was found in a mountain in South Korea at just 3 months old in Apr 2021 and taken to a high-risk city shelter along with his siblings. Fortunately rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team, the five siblings started living with numerous dogs in a private shelter. After spending three years in the shelter, Goodo thankfully had a chance to live in his foster home, but his foster family is returning him to the shelter very soon due to personal matters. We would love Goodo to find his forever home before he has to go back to the shelter life. He is more than ready to find one! • Personality: Calm, Gentle, Bright • Affinity with - Dogs: Good with his kind of dog, but generally he doesn't have a big interest in other dogs. - Cats: Not interested in small animals - Adults/Kids: He is good with people in general but just needs time to open up at the beginning. / He hasn't properly met a kid yet but prefers to keep some distance from people in general. However, he enjoys being petted even by new people. • Walking Manners: Generally good on a leash! Not reactive to other barking dogs when walking. • Housetrained: Completely housebroken, going potty outdoors • Bathing/Brushing: Very good and calm • Separation Anxiety: none • Car Sickness: He seems nervous but generally fine with car rides. • Barks/Howls: Only barks a little bit when someone enters the house in darkness • Appetite/Food Allergies: No allergies. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 • Likes/Dislikes: He likes pets, meaty treats, and walks(long walks, short runs) / He's not a fan of annoying dogs.
