Story
Meet Strudel! Strudel is a 3-year-old Greyhound mix with a sleek black and brindle coat and a heart as big as his long legs! This gentle and affectionate boy is looking for a committed home that understands his need for security and companionship.Strudel is sweet, friendly, and well-mannered indoors, but he has a strong urge to explore and can jump fences—including six-foot chain link and privacy fences. He also can squeeze out of the smallest space. Because of this, he is a flight risk, and he must always be leash-walked or supervised when outside. He is excellent with other dogs of all sizes, but he’s not suitable for a home with cats as he gets a little too excited around them and may hurt them. He is good with children and lives with a seven and eight-year-old.His ideal home would be one with a committed adopter who will always leash-walk him. A secure home where he will always be supervised so he does not escape. He loves adventures, but that has caused Strudel to end up in shelters and bouncing around due to his fence-jumping abilities. But he is truly a wonderful, loving dog who just needs the right setup to thrive. If you are a family or individual looking for a loyal and affectionate companion, Strudel could be yours.Name: StrudelBreed: Greyhound/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 3 years (estimated)Weight: 70lbsSpayed/Neutered: NoVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $550.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently: Arkansas IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
