Story
I was spotted running scared off a freeway and on the hills wearing a shiny new harness but didn't know people were trying to help so ran.  After several weeks of posts looking for who might be missing me or see me again, I showed up without my harness and even more scared.  Some great people put food out.  I stayed a day or two but left again.  Another month later, I came back and.was humanely trapped.  Despite my harness in the beginning and a diligent search for an owner, no one came to claim me during my stray processing.  The more shocking part is that I am just a big puppy, at only about a year old, and at some point someone loved me.  I LOVE people, including kids, know tricks and think life is a party.  I may have been scared on my own but definitely knew a family.  I am the one pushed to the front to say hello when kids come by at events.  I have a silly goofy side that fits perfectly with my expressive eyes and wrinkly brows.  I am a BIG lanky girl and still growing so I'll need someone willing to fine tune my learning and leash skills.  I am eager to please and will do ANYTHING for food so a blank slate for you to write my future.  I am still trying to figure out the dog thing but want to play but admittedly am socially stupid:). Can you be that person to help me learn and love my antics, tricks and give good butt scratches? Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows.  No off leash activites for life in unfenced areas.  I need to stay safe. Story
Greyhound mix; Spayed female; 2 years; 30 pounds If you looked up “Loyal” in the dictionary you would find a picture of Tinsel. This sweet pup loves nothing more than to sit on the couch with her favorite people to binge her favorite TV shows. She also enjoys fluffy blankets, going on long car rides, tennis balls and eating cream cheese. Tinsel is a medium size of about 30 lbs. She has a sweet face with doe like eyes and a svelte body type. Tinsel has had some bad luck and been displaced a few times looking for her forever family. Moving from home to home caused her to lose hope but luckily after spending some time in a shelter she found her way to her foster family and is now ready to find a home to call her own. Tinsel has been working with a trainer to build her confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. She will need dedicated and committed adopters, who are willing to take things slow to help her continue to blossom. A trainer will be provided for her new forever family. Tinsel is currently living in a home with a family. If you are interested in learning more, we would love to chat about her history and adoption needs. For more information or if you are interested in adopting, please contact Tinsel’s foster, Jaime at sddogsquad@gmail.com. *PLEASE NOTE: This animal is listed as a courtesy for another organization or private party.
