Story
Meet Ivan! Age: adult Weight: 185 lbs Good with: kids, cats, dogs, chickens, horses, bunnies (such an animal lover!) House trained: yes Crate trained: yes, but I don't need one. I'm not destructive, and I just sleep in front of the air vent during the day. Special needs: I'm need to be on a fish based diet, I need a home with limited or no stair that also has AC to keep me cool. I only have about 50% of my hearing and eyesight, but I'm the best boy! As you can see, I'm a big boy! With that comes lots of love once I get settled in to your home and life. Please be patient with me the first little bit I'm with you, and I promise you won't regret it! My tummy gets a little upset with new changes, so I will need to go potty a bit more than normal for the first couple of weeks. If we can just get past that hurdle together, the rest of our lives together will be incredible! I bark a bit when new people walk by the fence, but I just want to make sure they see me, I mean no harm. I actually really love meeting new people while on walks and will happily say hi. I'm pretty much a show stopper wherever I go, since I'm such a handsome fella. I love going for car rides, but I need a bit of help getting in. Foster mom says sometimes I'll put my front paws up, and she just has to boost my booty, and other times, she has to put my front paws up for me and then boost my booty. Either way, I'll go on all the field trips with you! I am able to do limited stairs, but to keep my body safe it’s best to live in a home with few or no stairs. A gate won’t stop me, a pup my size barely notices it! My future home should have a door to keep stairs closed for my safety. When it comes time to brush me, you can just put the attachment on the hose of the vacuum and go to town while I fall asleep. I'm a big ol' ham and with lots of fur, slobber, and most importantly, devotion to my humans. It's time for me to find my forever home, and if you know big breeds, you know we have big hearts! My devotion to my people is like no other, and if you end up being my people, I can't wait to show it to you! Do you need a big heart in your life? *Ivan is being fostered in Wauwatosa, WI. Story
Meet Stryker! Age: Senior Breed: Rottweiler Weight: 90 lbs Good with: Dogs House trained: Yes Crate trained: No, but not needed Stryker is THE BEST big boy (90lbs) ever! This gorgeous senior Rottweiler has no health issues other than some normal aging stuff (vision/hips) and was a loved pet for many years. Sadly, his human parents had to go into longterm care so he lost his home and fur companions. While he has not lived with kids in his foster home, he loves his people and it is believed he would do just fine with kids. This pup is truly a “dog’s dog” (has not been cat tested) and would benefit from a home with at least one other dog. He currently lives with multiple dogs of various sizes/energy levels and he enjoys them all. Stryker is a chill pup with lots of pep in his step. He loves taking walks and enjoying time roaming the yard in his foster home or lounging on the porch. A fenced in yard is not a requirement but he does enjoy exploring. He also has great house manners, being both housebroken and being able to be left free roam when his foster is out. Stryker is not a barker but makes noises when he wants your attention and is a smart pup who knows basic commands. Stryker loves affection and is a fan of mealtime/treats. Stryker would make a wonderful addition to a family - he just wants to find a safe place to call home for his sunset years. Does he sound like a good fit for you? **Stryker is located in the Chicago suburbs and also spends time in Delavan, WI Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs.
