Story
Copper was found as a stray in Sadler, Texas. After months of gaining his trust, his foster mom was finally able to capture him. Copper was heartworm positive, but went through treatment to get rid of the worms. He is now ready to find his forever family! Per Wisdom Panel, Copper is a mix of 11 different breeds. His top three breeds are Rottweiler, Pit Bull and German Shepherd. He is a friendly dog who gets along well with other dogs and even cats. Copper has a sweet and gentle nature, and he adores his people. Although he can be a bit shy around men initially, he quickly warms up once he gets to know them. Copper is well-behaved in the house and does not need to be crated. Finding his forever home would be the best Christmas present! Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
