Story
Bandit is the perfect combination of sweet and shy that makes your heart melt. While his pictures make him look big, he is actually a pocket sized rottweiler mix at about 55 pounds. He loves his trusted humans unconditionally and wants to shadow you whenever he can. Bandit is guaranteed to add lots of love, kisses and cuddles to your life. Where there is warmth you will find Bandit; warmth from the sun, from a heater, from a fur friend or from a human. He sometimes thinks he’s a lap dog and will plop himself on your lap for a nap, taking comfort in being with his human. Check out Bandit's video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwlJxEafkJcZ23qSb8i_8EPM He loves to play with his foster sister and sometimes looks quite goofy, which just adds to his charming personality. He is crate-trained, fully house-trained and walks well on a leash. He is highly treat motivate and is learning in foster care to do things like sit, lay down, stay, be a gentleman, and wait. Bandit has lived with small dogs, dogs his size, adult men, and adult women and has done well with all. He does take a moment to warm up to new people, sounds, and places but generally his reaction to these new scary things is to cower a little. Once he has warmed up, he loves to give his new friends kisses and cuddles. Bandit is always happy to see his humans when they come home and gives you all smiles. It is truly heartwarming to be part of his journey and to see his growth as a fearful dog. Bandit has been failed multiple times and was almost euthanized at Stanislaus Animal Services due to overcrowding and because everyone would pass right by this scared boy shaking in his kennel. Bandit deserves his forever family. Hershey is the ultimate lover and cuddle boy. He wants to be with you and loved on! Hershey loves rubber toys and balls, but he really loves humans most of all! Check out Hershey's video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwmHTgoROGwHU3jRv8DRWDO8 Hershey is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Hershey is crate-trained and is fine being home alone for a while. Hershey is working on leash training and will need a family committed to helping him be his best self on the leash. Hershey is currently learning come, sit, and stay. Hershey is always very excited to see all humans, so his foster family is working on him jumping up in joy on his favorite people. Hershey is working on his house-training and is doing well with strict supervision. Hershey currently lives with a female rottweiler, young male Dutch shepherd, a senior shepherd that does not like to be bothered, and a 3 month old puppy. He is a true social butterfly in the dog world and gets along with just about everyone. He loves to be brushed, wiped down. Tolerated bath well and thought getting towel dried was a fun game. Loves treats just doesn't want to work for them in a toy.
