Meet Gertie, a sweet and gentle 1-year-old pup with a heartwarming story of resilience. Rescued from a high-kill Texas shelter, Gertie gave birth to 9 puppies on the day she was set to be euthanized. Despite her tough start, Gertie’s loving nature shines through. She's docile, submissive, and plays well with other dogs, while being non-reactive toward cats. Gertie sleeps quietly in her crate and enjoys both playtime and relaxing by your side. Due to her past, she needs a patient and loving home, especially when it comes to warming up to men. Could you be the one to show her the world? FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. He was found frequently wandering his neighborhood and when confronted, the owners decided they just wanted to get rid of him. Now he is currently living in a foster home in Mequon, WI, and is doing amazing!🥰🙏 Tank is a beautiful 1.5-year-old Great Pyrenees and is such a sweet boy! He has an awesome disposition, typical of his breed, and is such a lover! He is getting along great with his foster siblings and the cats in the house! He doesn't pay the cats any attention. He is potty trained and is working on learning basic commands and walking on a leash. Tank was at our holiday meet-and-greet and did so well with all of the commotion and meeting all of the people and other dogs! Tank is a wanderer and therefore, needs to be adopted by someone with a fenced-in yard. 🐶 He is not fixed yet and is scheduled with HAWS in January 2025. This is why his price is higher since spay/neuter costs is based on the weight of the dog.
