Story
Looking for a loyal companion with personality plus? Sherlock is your guy! This clever pup may have started life solving mysteries on his own, but now his greatest investigation is finding his forever home.   Sherlock is a character with a silly, goofy, rule-bending personality. His favorite way to show affection? A good game of fetch! In fact, if you want to win this detective's heart, just bring a tennis ball to your meet-and-greet.   The perfect partner for Sherlock will understand his unique needs. He is protective by nature, and his ideal home would be an adult-only household that can provide structure and consistency.   Sherlock is very wary of strangers and it takes him some time to warm up to new people. But once you're in his inner circle, you'll discover a deeply affectionate and sweet soul who will bring endless joy to your life. He's currently working with trainers to polish his good-boy skills and is excited to show them off to the right family.   Sherlock is dog-selective – he prefers dogs that are more playful and relaxed. He doesn’t get along with cats, however, and prefers to keep his investigations feline-free.   Ready to be the Watson to this Sherlock? Contact us to learn more about this special boy!   To ask about Sherlock, please contact us directly by calling 847-338-3252 or emailing info@redemptionroadinc.org ##2521075##

Story
Colby is a handsome 4-month-old male mixed breed puppy with a striking white coat and black accents. He was found abandoned with his littermates in rural Texas and brought to safety just in time—only days before a severe freeze hit the area. Colby is a social, affectionate puppy who loves to play and be part of the action. He does well with other dogs, is good with cats, and absolutely adores children. He thrives on interaction and would do best in a home that can give him plenty of attention, structure, and continued guidance as he grows. Curious about his breed mix? One of his siblings completed a Wisdom Panel DNA test, showing the litter is primarily Great Pyrenees (about 71%), with a mix of Pit Bull Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, Anatolian Shepherd, and Greyhound. Like many rescue puppies, Colby is a unique blend of breeds and personality. Colby is currently working on his puppy manners and is doing well with potty training in his foster home. As with any young puppy, he will benefit from continued consistency, training, and patience as he learns and matures. He is up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and will come with his medical records and an interstate health certificate confirming he was examined and cleared by a veterinarian prior to transport. His adoption includes a rebate toward a low-cost neuter at a local veterinary clinic. Colby is a fun, energetic puppy who will make a wonderful companion for an active home ready for all the joys (and responsibilities) of raising a young dog His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent him from finding his forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. We take payments through Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp, or we can take card numbers over the phone and process them through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt. Thank you for supporting our efforts to bring Texas dogs north to loving homes! You can read more about us at https://facebook.com/TxRescueRiders (Texas Rescue Riders). Also feel free to join our Group Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity (Texas Rescue Riders Community) where members can post directly. Story
Meet Nellie Nellie, a Great Pyrenees, joined BAARK when her owner was no longer able to care for himself, much less her. As such, she was in pretty rough physical condition when she was surrendered, but clearly had received plenty of attention and love. Nellie is estimated to be 7-8 years old and weighs about 80 lbs. When meeting new people, Nellie is a little shy at first. We believe that this is because she had very little exposure to new people when with her previous owner. However, in her foster home, with patience and, in following the lead of her new canine friends, Nellie has really blossomed. She now gives kisses and lots of tail wags when her foster mom and dad get home from work. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. In typical Great Pyr fashion, she loves patrolling the fence line and she is especially in tune to large birds flying overhead. Her foster family appreciates her level of alert, as Nellie watches over her much smaller foster brother and sisters in the home. Nellie is housebroken and is just fine being un-crated at home by herself. Nellie joined our rescue organization back in June. She is just becoming available for adoption as she has a long recovery from a mass removal on her paw pad (benign). She has 3 toes on that paw but gets around just fine. Nellie is in overall great health. She’s spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative. If you are interested in adding this wonderful senior to your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895.

Meet sweet Marley, a 1 year old 56 pound Anatolian/Maremma/Shepard mix who is excited to find her forever home. Marley gets along great with other dogs and has discovered she loves toys and chasing leaves. She loves to play hard for short periods and plop down for a nap wherever she finds a spot. She definitely loves her people time and cuddling. Marley will grow into a very large dog. This breed mix is considered very intelligent and loyal. They like to roam so should have a home with a fenced yard and plenty of stimulation for their active minds and bodies. Marley loves to play and explore the outdoors. She takes her job as security guard seriously and most often can be found in the fenced yard just keeping watch over everything. When she takes a break from her patrol, she fancies herself a lap dog. Favorite treats are cheese, peanut butter and ice cubes in no particular order. Marley is being fostered in Wausau, WI with her sister Ava and Moxie. Her adoption fee is $375. She has had her first set of puppy shots, been de-wormed and micro-chipped. Upon proof of spay, her adopter will receive a $150 refund. Story
Introducing Ava, a 1 year old, 58 pound Anatolian/Maremma/Shepard mix who is excited to find her forever home. Ava gets along great with other dogs and has discovered she loves toys and chasing leaves. She loves to play hard for short periods and plop down for a nap wherever she finds a spot. She definitely loves her people time and cuddling. Ava will grow into a very large dog. This breed mix is considered very intelligent and loyal. They like to roam so should have a home with a fenced yard and plenty of stimulation for their active minds and bodies. Ava is the more chill of the sisters and likes to sit and observe before engaging in play. She does better with a slow introduction to other dogs and is slightly more dominant than her sister. Ava is number 2 in the pecking order of her three remaining siblings, but is very submissive to resident dogs (who are smaller). She loves to play and explore the outdoors. Loves being outdoors to be able to “patrol” her area. Will alert to anything that is out of the ordinary. Favorite treats are cheese, peanut butter and ice cubes, in no particular order. Ava is being fostered in Wausau, WI with her sisters Marley and Moxie. Her adoption fee is $375. She has had her first set of puppy shots, been de-wormed and micro-chipped. Story
Introducing Moxie .. a 1 year old 58 pound German Shepard/Maremma/Anatolian Shepard pup who is looking for her forever home. Moxie is very playful and hasn’t met a toy she doesn’t like and enjoys exploring the yard. She loves treats and belly rubs. She gets along great with her litter mates and follows the cues of the older resident dogs. Older children are preferred due to her size. She is curious about cats but respects their ‘correction’. She is being exposed to farm animals such as chickens and goats and has shown no aggression. She loves spending time outdoors, either independently or with her people. Moxie is working on leash training and housebreaking skills. She is super smart and food motivated. She is using a doggie door regularly. She will need a home with a fenced yard because these breeds are known to take a stroll and they do enjoy patrolling their ‘area’. Moxie is queen bee with her siblings but submissive to the resident dogs (who are smaller). She loves to play and explore the outdoors. She takes her job as security guard seriously and most often can be found in the fenced yard just keeping watch over everything. When she takes a break from her patrol, she prefers to relax on the couch. Favorite treats are cheese, peanut butter and ice cubes in no particular order. Moxie is super sweet and a little more reserved than her littermates but it doesn’t take long for her to warm up to people and beg for belly rubs. She is playful but will also chill and just observe. Moxie is being fostered in the Wausau, WI with her sisters Ava and Marley. Her adoption donation is $375. She has had her first set of puppy shots, been de-wormed and micro-chipped and had a round of Simparica and Interceptor. Upon proof of spay her adopter will receive a refund of $150. Please note: the Mareema and Anatolian Shepherd breeds are livestock guardian dogs and they will be big, possibly 85 pounds as an adult. These breeds need room to explore and exercise both mentally and physically. They are loyal but can be aloof due to their guarding instincts. Early training and socialization is crucial as they tend to not be accepting of strangers as they get older. These guardian behaviors tend to develop around age 2. Highly recommend doing research before adopting. If you believe Moxie could be the perfect addition to your family , please submit an application to : https://us12b.sheltermanager.com/service?account=tg2551&method=online_form_html&formid=21 DATCP #524558
