If you are looking for a gentle family dog, that resembles a fluffy cloud with the floof of a polar bear, you have found him! He is incredibly dog-friendly, can catch a ball in his mouth, has wonderful house manners (including being house-trained) adores kids, and is great on leash including walking beside a stroller. This is where his love of kids was discovered. With a newly crawling baby in the house it was clear that he understood gentleness and peacefulness were important and he delivered! This is how we know that he is quiet in his crate but will occasionally let out a little wooowooooo, a cuter than cute sound. This is also how we know he loves toys, understands the difference between his toys and the babies, and likes to carry a toy in his mouth when he goes outside to go potty. This is the kind of happy, easy boy who you will look out the window and see laying peacefully in the grass, with his toy and the sun shining on him. Heavenly! He has an easy-going nature and dreams of a family of his own to spend forever with. If you are looking for chaos and wild, Franco here is not the one for you, his entire being exudes gentle and calm, love and warmth. Best described as a couch potato, the opposite of busy or wild. Estimated to be 3 years old, weighing a perfect 79 lbs, this boy is carrying a big loving heart and all the traits of an adoring, loyal dog. His demeanor and look lead us to believe he is a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix but breed and age are details we cannot offer 100% certainty, given the nature of him being a rescue. We can absolutely guarantee Franco is a heart-warming face with a gentle nature. One of my favorite things about is how peaceful his presence is. He is quiet company that feels like you have always known. Franco’s sense of good-company is seen with other dogs as well. We introduced him to a handful of new dogs to gauge his playfulness and friendliness with other dogs and we saw the same- friendly and easy-going. He was at ease and made connections with a variety of dogs, big and small, showing so much patience to some extra pushy and excited new friends. He has recently been accepted to a doggie-day-care program and comes home with A+ report cards! Franco is definitely dog friendly but does not need dogs to feel happy. Being a solo-dog would be no problem for Franco, he is at peace with just the company of his people. The only no we know is Franco needs a cat-free home. We feel confident his eagerness when introduced to our house cat was friendly but his size would be a bit much if he decided to chase the cat or even jump up to get a peek of him. Given his size and nature, we would love to see Franco in a home where his natural pace is welcome. A house with a yard though apartment/condo life is not off the table, a loving family, a playful but mellow-friend is welcome but simply- the good life. I can’t imagine many homes Franco wouldn’t be well suited for. He is going to show up and feel like he has always been yours. Plus, you’ll often have what looks like a polar bear skin rug on the ground when he is resting, very chic! If you can guard his big loving heart and keep the love coming his way, he promises sweetness, adoration, and loyalty in return. Hi peoples! My name is Ruger and I am a 7 month old Great Pyr/Lab mix. I am a large breed puppy and have been microchipped, am up-to-date on all my shots but not yet neutered. My foster mommy says I am amazing and sweet. I love sniffing stuff and investigating wherever my nose takes me. I also love chewing stuff up but stop when foster mommy tells me to (most of the time at least). I get along great with other dogs and just want to play with them. I haven’t been around any cats, livestock or children. Foster mommy says she believes I will be great with kids, but need to be around dog saavy ones because of my size. I am a very smart boy and foster mommy says food motivated. She has been working with me and I know I have to sit down before she feeds me as well as before I get a treat. She says I have a very gentle mouth when taking treats. I don’t know what that means but I think it’s good thing. I can play well by myself but I like chasing after toys or balls when my foster mommy tosses them for me. I don’t bring them back yet though I could probably be motivated too. I also love going on long walks or hikes. I know my name and will come back, when I feel like it. Foster mommy says she wants me to grow up and continue on the path of being the most amazing boy so I will need to be signed up for basic obedience classes. Bailey was born April 06 2020 in El Centro CA. She has lived with us since she was 8 weeks old. Bailey was an emotional support animal to our daughter. We live in a home where she has a backyard and can play. Our daughter has been in significant health problems for the past 2+ years and we can no longer keep up with both our daughter's health and the costs associated with Bailey. We are looking for a family that would like to continue to care for Bailey. Ideally a family that has kids would be best for her. She is playful, loves to cuddle, and loves to be with kids. Bailey has been staying alone for most of the day due to us having to work. She is house trained and listens to basic commands. Her recall needs practice, but will be the best walking and running companion on a leash. Bailey has experienced the absence of our daughter, her main caretaker, and it has been hard on her, but will cheer up easily.

Snow is a pretty typical name for a white dog.... but for me it is like a sweet cool breeze! Because I HAVE a NAME and LOVE to go with it!! You see, I was living in a home that didn't want me up until I arrived at the rescue several weeks ago. So, I didn't get a nice name, or a bed or love and hardly any food :( I am still shy at first but my life has changed so so much that I can't help but love everyone now :) I especially love other dogs and would be best in a home with another loving, confident dog. Katya has been a very sweet girl in her current caregiver’s home and farm. She likes people she meets. Note: she has had no experience with young children. She lives with other dogs and, in that situation, is considered a lower member when it comes to pack dynamics. She has been good with horses and mule livestock. At this time, she is NOT free-range chicken approved. She has been easy to bathe and groom. When she doesn't like you brushing or something, she'll just gently take your hand in her mouth. That is a very normal GP reaction. Since she is a Great Pyrenees, she barks when outside and can hear, smell, or sense change or predators, as this is a livestock guardians’ job. Like all great Pyrenees, she will dig holes and has dug under fences. This is a thing for many GP. They are an amazing breed but require a bit higher-level dog skills and involvement that create kind pack leadership. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time.
