Story
Meet Rue Midland, the Sweet Cream Puff of a Pup! 🐾 Rue is a 5-month-old Great Pyrenees mix, weighing in at 38 pounds of pure fluff and sweetness! With her cream-colored coat and an adorable heart-shaped patch of fur on her head, Rue is as lovable as she looks—basically a giant cream puff with paws! This girl is gentle, affectionate, and great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. She’s currently fostered on a ranch with her four siblings and a variety of other dogs, and she’s proven to be a social butterfly with all of them! Rue is a water-loving gal who can’t resist a good splash; if you let her, she might even turn her water bowl into a mini pool! She’s almost fully potty trained, knows how to use a doggy door, and sleeps soundly in her kennel setup from 9 pm to 5 am without a peep. Rue’s a quick learner who already knows “sit,” comes when called, and is fantastic on a slip lead. She’s patient for treats, travels great in the car, and is a pro at cuddling on the couch! Rue has also shown her gentle side with kids and has been calm and sweet with little ones. Plus, she’s unphased by other animals—even donkeys! She adores stuffed toys and would be thrilled with a toy basket full of her very own. Rue is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her/His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. With her sweet, gentle nature and easygoing personality, Rue is a fantastic addition to any family. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, and social pup to love, Rue is ready to be your fluffy best friend! 💛 Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6726a06f29ed3121f006c06d Please email kathleen@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO, UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24- hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training effort but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30-day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8-week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6-year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Meet Ace Midland, the Fluffiest Adventure Buddy Around! 🐾 Ace is a 5-month-old Great Pyrenees mix weighing in at 45 pounds of cream-colored fluff and sweetness! This gentle giant is more than just a cuddle bug—he’s a happy, playful pup who’s got the charm to match his fluffy good looks. Ace loves to follow his foster mom outside to play on the ranch and is super well-mannered about going back inside when it’s time to wrap up. This smart boy is almost fully potty trained, knows how to use a doggy door, and sleeps soundly in his kennel setup from 9 pm to 5 am without a peep. Ace already knows “sit,” responds to his name, and has been doing great on a slip lead. He’s a quick learner who waits patiently for treats, travels like a champ in the car, and is a big fan of cozying up on the couch for cuddle time. Ace was recently a star at the vet's office—they absolutely loved him! He was brave as could be for his shots and won everyone over with his easygoing, friendly nature. He’s fantastic with other dogs, including his four siblings and an array of different-sized pups on the ranch, and he’s shown a gentle side with kids of all ages. He’s been unphased by new sights (even donkeys!) and can’t get enough of his stuffed toys—a toy basket just for him would be his dream! Ace is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires.
