Story
When HART first rescued Newton, this gorgeous boy was very shy. Since being in a loving foster home, he has shown significant improvement! He is less shy when meeting new people, and after proper introduction, he seeks out chin scratches and belly rubs. Newton has enjoyed running in the backyard, chasing a ball, and he will certainly need a secure, fenced yard to safely explore and get his zoomies. Newton is house trained, sleeps well at night in his kennel, does not have separation anxiety, occasionally barks but settles down, takes treats gently, and knows basic commands to include 'sit', 'stay', 'wait' and knows to wait for 'yes' and 'OK' before proceeding. He walks well on a leash particularly in the neighborhood and on trails but needs additional training to prevent occasional pulling. He sheds his gorgeous coat once a year and fortunately loves to be brushed with a wire brush to keep it under control. He gets along well with other dogs after a proper introduction and would benefit from having another confident dog in the home. Newton is not at all aggressive and responds to scary or new situations by backing away so he can get comfortable on his own terms. As he continues to overcome his shyness, he has shown that he is eager to explore, have new experiences, and meet new people. Newton is looking for a family that will continue with his training and socialization to ensure he will reach his potential. Inquire about meeting Newton because it will be love at first sight! Thank you for your interest in Newton! IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, pleas r visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Bingo-is-his-name-O! Bingo is about 1 year old and 65 lbs. Bingo is a young and energetic boy who loves everyone he meets! Bingo is new to our rescue but is proving to be an awesome pup! Bingo does great in the house and appears to be housetrained. He is getting along with the dog friends at his foster home. He is a big strong boy and gets excited when he sees other dogs and people. An adopter will need to work on leash skills with him and would ideally have a fenced yard while he learns the ropes. Bingo is not fostered with children, but he is sweet with the grandkids who are 8 years and up, and we think he would be good with kids who are respectful of his space, as all dogs need. Bingo will need a home where someone is around a good portion of the day to help him acclimate. Bingo is neutered and he is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $375.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Meet Meredith! Meredith is a very happy and affectionate 10 month old Great Pyrenees/ Anatolia mixed female who weighs about 50 pounds.  She is very sweet with all people (small children included), other dogs, and cats. She is house trained and crate trained but will need a home that can work on house manners, as she is a dedicated counter surfer and will chew up accessible items that may not belong to her. She is leash trained and loves to go for walks around the neighborhood, but can be a bit dog reactive. She should not be trusted off leash without proper training until she gains confidence and trust in her humans.  She likes to play with rope toys, catch a ball and chew on bones when she can. This pretty girl is gentle with her people and gets along with other dogs. She goes to doggie daycare and a farm boarding situation and is very friendly off leash. Meredith is great in the car and loves to look around while driving. She is a velcro type dog and wants to constantly be with her people. She can get startled easily and is submissive in a lot of her interactions. Although sweet with them, she should not be placed in a home with small children, as she is large and not always mindful of where her body is. She would do best in an active household without a lot of alone time and with folks who can dedicate time to her house training. She is UTD on all vaccines, heartworm/flea meds and is spayed. She is such a good dog and will be a great addition to your family as an only dog or as a best mate to her new dog siblings. Adoption Fee: $525. Included in adoption: All shots, sterilized, Heartworm Negative, Microchip Dewormed, Flea Preventative     If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
https://foha.org/pet/wally2021/ Hi - Wally is my name! I am a beautiful boy as you can clearly see! As a Great Pyrenees mix I have a beautiful, soft coat and sweet eyes. I am also a dog that needs some space and I love to have room to roam outside. I did not come to FOHA with a lot of information, but they think that I may not have lived much time in a home. Some of the things in the home can scare me like the TV. So I will need to be in a home with no kids because the activity may be too much. I should also not be on a farm with small livestock. I would like a yard and outside space to explore. Apartment and condo living is not a good fit for me. I would do well with a family with Great Pyrenees experience who understands the ins and outs of my breed. I can use some training to help me be the best me! If this sounds like you, please submit an application and my friends at FOHA will schedule a time for us to meet! See you soon!! Story
Ritz truly is a big sweetheart. Her mom was a pure bred Great Pyrenees found abandoned from a puppy mill. She is smart, has strong herding instincts, as well as a deeply playful nature. She *adores* other dogs and although she bonds strongly with her people, would really love to be homed with another dog playmate. She is a big girl with a big voice and does need room to run, but she also loves curling up with family. It breaks my heart to have to rehome her, but Im not well and its not fair to her. Please note: she should not be in a house with cats - her herding and territorial instincts make it less than ideal. She just needs the right situation to thrive. Please contact me if interested. Thank you
