Story
When HART first rescued Newton, this gorgeous boy was very shy. Since being in a loving foster home, he has shown significant improvement! He is less shy when meeting new people, and after proper introduction, he seeks out chin scratches and belly rubs. Newton has enjoyed running in the backyard, chasing a ball, and he will certainly need a secure, fenced yard to safely explore and get his zoomies. Newton is house trained, sleeps well at night in his kennel, does not have separation anxiety, occasionally barks but settles down, takes treats gently, and knows basic commands to include 'sit', 'stay', 'wait' and knows to wait for 'yes' and 'OK' before proceeding. He walks well on a leash particularly in the neighborhood and on trails but needs additional training to prevent occasional pulling. He sheds his gorgeous coat once a year and fortunately loves to be brushed with a wire brush to keep it under control. He gets along well with other dogs after a proper introduction and would benefit from having another confident dog in the home. Newton is not at all aggressive and responds to scary or new situations by backing away so he can get comfortable on his own terms. As he continues to overcome his shyness, he has shown that he is eager to explore, have new experiences, and meet new people. Newton is looking for a family that will continue with his training and socialization to ensure he will reach his potential. Inquire about meeting Newton because it will be love at first sight! Thank you for your interest in Newton! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=16868 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Newton, or to submit an online application. Story
Introducing Salt, a charming 2-year-old Great Pyrenees and Lab mix who perfectly blends the lovable traits of both breeds. Weighing in as a big, sweet boy, he embodies the essence of a gentle giant. Salt’s calm and affectionate demeanor makes him not only a wonderful companion but also a source of comfort and joy for anyone lucky enough to share their life with him. Salt is incredibly sociable and does exceptionally well with children, making him a fantastic family pet. His patience and gentle nature mean he can handle the exuberance of young ones with grace. Additionally, he has a friendly disposition towards other animals; he gets along beautifully with both cats and dogs. This adaptability makes him an ideal candidate for a multi-pet household. One of Salt's standout qualities is his intelligence. He has already mastered house training, showcasing his eagerness to learn and please. This makes him an easier pet to manage, as he is well aware of household rules and routines. His playful spirit is complemented by a calm demeanor, making him equally happy to play fetch in the yard or snuggle up on the couch for a cozy movie night. To learn more about Fluffy, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Fluffy will be attending one of our adoption events coming up this weekend! To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event she will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/. (*Please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending each event.*) True to her name, Fluffy is a lovable, soft, and cuddly ball of fluff! This sweet 4-year-old Great Pyrenees mix may be a bit shy and reserved when meeting new people or adjusting to unfamiliar surroundings, but once she feels at ease, she transforms into a playful and happy pup who just wants to have fun. With her striking black and tan coat and expressive eyebrows, Fluffy is a real head-turner. She's incredibly affectionate, and there's nothing she loves more than snuggles and belly rubs. Outdoor adventures are a favorite of hers, and she enjoys long walks, though some leash training would help her become even more confident on her outings. Because of her size, Fluffy would do best in a home without small children. She's looking for a family who can give her the space, love, and patience to truly blossom into the playful, loving companion she's meant to be. If you're looking for a big snuggly dog who will be your loyal best friend, Fluffy might just be the one!

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Bingo-is-his-name-O! Bingo is about 1 year old and 65 lbs. Bingo is a young and energetic boy who loves everyone he meets! Bingo is new to our rescue but is proving to be an awesome pup! Bingo does great in the house and appears to be housetrained. He is getting along with the dog friends at his foster home. He is a big strong boy and gets excited when he sees other dogs and people. An adopter will need to work on leash skills with him and would ideally have a fenced yard while he learns the ropes. Bingo is not fostered with children, but he is sweet, and we think he would be good with kids who are respectful of his space, as all dogs need. Bingo will need a home where someone is around a good portion of the day to help her acclimate. Bingo is neutered and he is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $375.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
