Story
Who says good things come in small packages? Sometimes they come in big, furry bodies with eyes that will melt your heart. My name is Andre. I am a 5 year old 85 lb. teddy bear, and my goal in life is to snuggle all the people and collect all the treats. I may be a Pyrenees mix or just a mix of a bunch of adorableness. I'm desperately searching for a family who needs a pup willing to walk with them, play with them, protect them, and snuggle the loneliness out of them. I am a super smart guy who would love to learn more than basic commands (I know sit, touch and down). I need to learn the nuances of living in a house with my beloved humans. I'd make an amazing emotional support pup because I almost NEED to be around my humans. I mean, what happens if they need a snuggle and I'm not around? I'd do best in a house with a fence, and I would probably struggle with small children because I'm a bit pushy when snuggles and treats are involved. (Of course, training would also address this!) I'd love another big dog who enjoys wrestling and playing tug. I'm confident, affectionate and really fond of people. If you think you might have room in your home - and your heart - for a big sweetie like me, let's meet!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
Handsome Apollo is pure Pyrenees, equal parts vigilant protector and mellow polar bear. After a rough start in life and months in CAWS' care, he is ready for that Pyr-fect home that offers the love and stability every good dog deserves. Apollo's transformation has been dramatic. A young stray that arrived covered wounds, mats and ticks, Apollo is now, at age 2-and-one-half, an ideal house guest with spurts of playfulness sprinkled in a generally easy-going personality. He is trustworthy when left alone at-large in the house and takes treats gently. He adores playing with his foster-dog siblings. A sensitive, gentle giant, Apollo is a perfect gentleman on the leash, polite to the canines and humans he meets, and he has decent recall with the help of a training collar and trust in his handler. He has lived with a cat, but his size makes him best suited to families with older children who won't be easily knocked down. Because he is uncomfortable in tight spaces, Apollo would not do well in an apartment or riding in small cars. He'd love another round dog to play with and a yard to play in. Guardian-breed experience also would be a plus, because this amazing dog will thrive in a home with people who offer consistency and continued training that brings out the best in sometimes stubborn Pyrs. Not only would he benefit from more work on basic commands, but he could use coaching on using stairs and moderate daily exercise. Ideally patience and structure will help him be the best he can be, a Pyr-fectly wonderful companion. To meet Apollo, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello people!!!  My name is Deena and I am anxiously waiting to start my holiday adventures with my forever family.  I am a 3 month old Great Pyrenees female puppy.  I do really like play time and adventures.  My foster mom says it sometimes is more mischief, but I prefer to think of it as adventures.  I'm a big girl who LOVES her food and everyone else's too.  hehe.  I crate trained myself as soon as I figured out that I got to eat sooner if I was in the first crate.  I use a dog door to come inside and explore and go outside to play and potty.  I do still need supervision if I have access to lots of rooms in the house.  I also really like sleeping on soft blankets.  I can be a little intimidated by new things at first, but I'm learning to be braver.  This includes both people and dogs.  Once I am comfortable, I am a big love bug.  I love playing with all the other dogs here that I know.  I have only been around cats a little, but I mostly ignore the barn cat who occasionally comes to visit us.  I am a BIG girl and already weigh easily 35 lbs.  I will likely be a fluffy, 100 lbs adult.  I am bred to protect and love my family, whether that family is sheep or people.   I really hope that someone will want to share their holiday adventures and love with me.  Please apply at Rescue Rovers ASAP because I'm ready to get started. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Willow  has had a rough few years. Health issues have had this girl being a frequent visitor to the vet. We were contacted about this sweet girl and that her family was not able to afford her care and were considering euthanasia. Over the past several months and a couple of procedures, Willow is feeling good!! And now it’s time to find her a new home.  Willow had spent her life outside with a female ST Bernard. She prefers to be in charge but the two of them had gotten along well together.  She had been an outside dog but after months in her foster home Willow is now happy being an inside girl. This is what her foster mom says about her.... I'm looking for a family with lots of compassion and love to give. Most of my life was spent in a barn with little to no outside stimuli. My previous owners also debarked me. I still bark but it's very muted. That's why my foster home has been the perfect place for me to adjust as I have introduced to home life and lots of everyday stimuli but certain things still scare me. Mt temp family has also tried to help me gain my confidence with my muted way of communication by praising me for protecting the house when I bark! I love to be outside, it's sometimes hard to coax me in so my family can leave. I'd probably do amazing with free access in or out of the house with a secure yard a nd a dog door. I've never tried to fence jump or escape my yard. I love to play outside with myself and I love the snow! Don't waste time buying me toys because I snuff my nose at them, I prefer to be chased and played with in the yard with my humans. I grew up with another dog with my previous family and have played with neighbor dogs through the fence, I've been around cats and they don't seem to affect me at all but slow intros would be needed as I've lived in a home with no cats or dogs for several months now. I can be selective with dogs so slow intros are a must and I should pre-meet any pups living in your home to ensure compatibility and success. I take some time to warm up to new people and a longer period of time to warm up to men. Most of all, I love being with my people! I love attention and I'll nose nudge for pets and scratches. Belly rubs, pets, and treats are my favorite things. I am the best protector and love bug you'll ever meet. I love my snuffle mat and licky mat when I'm over stimulated by the garbage man or thunder, that stuff scares me and sometimes I need distracting stimuli to calm me down. Most of my time is spent napping, I'm fully house trained, I know command such as sit, down, place. However, I'm a typical Pyr and the word "come" seems to be a word I choose not to hear. I am fine being left unattended. I'd be a beautiful addition to any home, I'm an overall sweetheart. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jeannette and her sister Margot were dumped in Brigham City Utah. They were taken to the shelter after having several days of sight seeing. Margot has been adopted and is doing incredibly well in a loving home, it's time for Jeannette to have that too! Jeannette is an absolute love, she does well with other dogs but she can take several weeks to settle in. In her foster home it took her over a month to decide the other dogs were ok to play with and it was a good place to stay. For that reason Jeannette really needs 6ft fencing, since she has been known to be a bit of an escape artist! She has learned to be good with the cats but would need slow intros with new kitties in her new home. She chases chickens but could potentially be trained not to. She likes the goats and sheep and hates coyotes so she is a good protector but this floof craves people over livestock. Jeannette loves people!! She's always there to give hugs and kisses! This girl needs to be part of a family! Her ideal life would be acreage, tall fences, and a family. She would also love another big dog to play with, her BFF is a big male Pyr and she adores him!  Please apply for this love if you can give her the wonderful life she deserves. She is currently being fostered in WA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 5:23 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sheba is guessed to be around 6 years old. She absolutely adores people and can’t get enough attention!  She’s good with other dogs who are submissive and give her space. She encountered kittens and paid them no attention. She also doesn't understand her size so small animals should steer clear.  She is a certified fence jumper! She can clear a 6' vinyl fence! What an athlete, this girl is! Not to worry, she can easily be walked on a leash or put out on a zipline as long as she isn't left alone. She is a good girl in the home alone if you need to run errands! She has been bounced around from home to home and in and out of shelters where she shuts down. We found her a temporary foster with moments left to get her safe and now she desperately needs a forever family! This girl can't seem to catch a break and she needs her very own HERO! Are you going to be that HERO for her?    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 5:23 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kuiu (Mia) and her sister Timber were found as strays after they had been on a waiting list to surrender to a shelter. Not sure what happened to them but a foster stepped up and they found themselves in rescue! Mia has a lot of energy and loves another dog to play with! No chickens!! She loves people and affection! She's a very smart girl. Although she hasn't been an inside dog she seems to have house trained herself, by not going to the bathroom in her pen. If she was to become a house floof she would hopefully pick up house training quickly! Mia needs 6ft secure fencing, this girl has been known to jump a fence or two! She is being fostered in Utah.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 5:23 pm
