Story
If you are looking for a gentle family dog, that resembles a fluffy cloud with the floof of a polar bear, you have found him! He is incredibly dog-friendly, can catch a ball in his mouth, has wonderful house manners (including being house-trained) adores kids, and is great on leash including walking beside a stroller. The list could go on and on. I am enamored by how easy his company feels, familiar and so comfortable. Plus he is so darn handsome! You can see more including his love of a ball and his gentleness with kids. https://youtu.be/hASd1s9EqFk Franco has been fortunate to spend his time waiting for his adoption day in the home of a loving family. This is where his love of kids was discovered. With a newly crawling baby in the house it was clear that he understood gentleness and peacefulness were important and he delivered! This is how we know that he is quiet in his crate but will occasionally let out a little wooowooooo, a cuter than cute sound. This is also how we know he loves toys, understands the difference between his toys and the babies, and likes to carry a toy in his mouth when he goes outside to go potty. This is the kind of happy, easy boy who you will look out the window and see laying peacefully in the grass, with his toy and the sun shining on him. Heavenly! He has an easy-going nature and dreams of a family of his own to spend forever with. If you are looking for chaos and wild, Franco here is not the one for you, his entire being exudes gentle and calm, love and warmth. Best described as a couch potato, the opposite of busy or wild. Estimated to be 3 years old, weighing a perfect 79 lbs, this boy is carrying a big loving heart and all the traits of an adoring, loyal dog. His demeanor and look lead us to believe he is a Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix but breed and age are details we cannot offer 100% certainty, given the nature of him being a rescue. We can absolutely guarantee Franco is a heart-warming face with a gentle nature. One of my favorite things about is how peaceful his presence is. He is quiet company that feels like you have always known. Franco’s sense of good-company is seen with other dogs as well. We introduced him to a handful of new dogs to gauge his playfulness and friendliness with other dogs and we saw the same- friendly and easy-going. He was at ease and made connections with a variety of dogs, big and small, showing so much patience to some extra pushy and excited new friends. He has recently been accepted to a doggie-day-care program and comes home with A+ report cards! Franco is definitely dog friendly but does not need dogs to feel happy. Being a solo-dog would be no problem for Franco, he is at peace with just the company of his people. The only no we know is Franco needs a cat-free home. We feel confident his eagerness when introduced to our house cat was friendly but his size would be a bit much if he decided to chase the cat or even jump up to get a peek of him. Given his size and nature, we would love to see Franco in a home where his natural pace is welcome. A house with a yard though apartment/condo life is not off the table, a loving family, a playful but mellow-friend is welcome but simply- the good life. I can’t imagine many homes Franco wouldn’t be well suited for. He is going to show up and feel like he has always been yours. Plus, you’ll often have what looks like a polar bear skin rug on the ground when he is resting, very chic! If you can guard his big loving heart and keep the love coming his way, he promises sweetness, adoration, and loyalty in return. So, if you're looking for a four-legged friend who's sheer presence is calming, charming and one who has a golden-good heart, Franco is ready and available for adoption! Questions? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello people!!!  My name is Deena and I am anxiously waiting to start my holiday adventures with my forever family.  I am a 3 month old Great Pyrenees female puppy.  I do really like play time and adventures.  My foster mom says it sometimes is more mischief, but I prefer to think of it as adventures.  I'm a big girl who LOVES her food and everyone else's too.  hehe.  I crate trained myself as soon as I figured out that I got to eat sooner if I was in the first crate.  I use a dog door to come inside and explore and go outside to play and potty.  I do still need supervision if I have access to lots of rooms in the house.  I also really like sleeping on soft blankets.  I can be a little intimidated by new things at first, but I'm learning to be braver.  This includes both people and dogs.  Once I am comfortable, I am a big love bug.  I love playing with all the other dogs here that I know.  I have only been around cats a little, but I mostly ignore the barn cat who occasionally comes to visit us.  I am a BIG girl and already weigh easily 35 lbs.  I will likely be a fluffy, 100 lbs adult.  I am bred to protect and love my family, whether that family is sheep or people.   I really hope that someone will want to share their holiday adventures and love with me.  Please apply at Rescue Rovers ASAP because I'm ready to get started. Story
Who says good things come in small packages? Sometimes they come in big, furry bodies with eyes that will melt your heart. My name is Andre. I am a 5 year old 85 lb. teddy bear, and my goal in life is to snuggle all the people and collect all the treats. I may be a Pyrenees mix or just a mix of a bunch of adorableness. I'm desperately searching for a family who needs a pup willing to walk with them, play with them, protect them, and snuggle the loneliness out of them. I am a super smart guy who would love to learn more than basic commands (I know sit, touch and down). I need to learn the nuances of living in a house with my beloved humans. I'd make an amazing emotional support pup because I almost NEED to be around my humans. I mean, what happens if they need a snuggle and I'm not around? I'd do best in a house with a fence, and I would probably struggle with small children because I'm a bit pushy when snuggles and treats are involved. (Of course, training would also address this!) I'd love another big dog who enjoys wrestling and playing tug. I'm confident, affectionate and really fond of people. If you think you might have room in your home - and your heart - for a big sweetie like me, let's meet!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sheba is guessed to be around 6 years old. She absolutely adores people and can’t get enough attention!  She’s good with other dogs who are submissive and give her space. She encountered kittens and paid them no attention. She also doesn't understand her size so small animals should steer clear.  She is a certified fence jumper! She can clear a 6' vinyl fence! What an athlete, this girl is! Not to worry, she can easily be walked on a leash or put out on a zipline as long as she isn't left alone. She is a good girl in the home alone if you need to run errands! She has been bounced around from home to home and in and out of shelters where she shuts down. We found her a temporary foster with moments left to get her safe and now she desperately needs a forever family! This girl can't seem to catch a break and she needs her very own HERO! Are you going to be that HERO for her?    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 5:23 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kuiu (Mia) and her sister Timber were found as strays after they had been on a waiting list to surrender to a shelter. Not sure what happened to them but a foster stepped up and they found themselves in rescue! Mia has a lot of energy and loves another dog to play with! No chickens!! She loves people and affection! She's a very smart girl. Although she hasn't been an inside dog she seems to have house trained herself, by not going to the bathroom in her pen. If she was to become a house floof she would hopefully pick up house training quickly! Mia needs 6ft secure fencing, this girl has been known to jump a fence or two! She is being fostered in Utah.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 5:23 pm
