Story
Teddy is truly a wonderful canine companion who is eagerly awaiting his forever home. This sweet, gentle boy has a calm, easygoing demeanor that makes him the perfect addition to any household. His relaxed nature also means he's content to simply lounge on the couch or curl up at his owner's feet, making him more of a "couch potato" than an energetic ball of fire. Teddy is house-trained and is learning to walk nicely on a leash. He is doing wonderful but new owners will need to be patient and work with him on his leash skills. When it comes to meeting new people, Teddy can be a bit shy at first but once he senses the kindness and affection of his human, his friendly, loving personality quickly emerges. Teddy has also shown that he gets along well with other dogs, displaying no signs of reactivity when meeting them through fences. And for those who enjoy taking their canine companions on the road, Teddy proves to be an excellent travel companion, riding calmly in the car when securely tethered. With his endearing temperament, house-trained habits, and adaptable nature, Teddy is truly the total package and will make a wonderful, loyal addition to any family lucky enough to welcome him into their home.

Story
We are so sad to lose him, but need to find a new home for our 10-month-old Pyrenees mix, Willett. He is a wonderful, calm, cuddly giant who we think would do well in a home *without kids* and where he is the only pet, and the owner can commit to clear boundary-setting and training for him. Details: - Currently living in NW Hills, in Austin - Male Great Pyrenees mix - 10-months-old - Was surrendered to Austin Animal Shelter in September, adopted by us 10 days ago - Not neutered - Up-to-date on all shots but will need LEPTO and rattlesnake vaccine booster - Recently got monthly dose of Heartgard/Nexgard - Not particularly treat or food motivated, but is a resource guarder While Willett has no history of aggression, he exhibited some early signs of resource guarding with our toddler (a quiet growl on two occasions). After speaking with four different trainers, we unfortunately came to the conclusion that he will not do well in our household with small children (2-year-old a

Story
Our 20 month old Great Pyrenees/maremma mix has recently shown some aggression towards our daughter. She is intact, we were planning to spay her this week. My wife has stage 4 cancer and we have moved to seek out treatment. Our home now is not as conducive for her as our past home was, our situation has just changed with my wife’s health. There was an incident with her getting a bit snippy with a friend of ours daughter as well. No blood or anything, just a scary moment. She’s been good around most dogs, only got into it once with my sister in law’s dog. It was a dominance conversation, and her pup has some pit in her genetics. I can’t say it was obvious who started it. This was while she was in heat, so this may be the reason. We love her very much, and this breaks our hearts, but I can’t in good faith keep her in our house around our kids, and my ill wife, and trust that she won’t do something like this again. She would be a wonderful dog in a house by herself with adults.

Story
Clover is a young (1-2 years), affectionate, large, clumsy goofball. Clover came to us while she was out exploring our neighborhood. We tracked down someone who claimed ownership. When we met him to turn Clover over to him, he told us that he was a landlord and that his tenants had abandoned her. We offered to take her and help her find a better home. We've been fostering her for about 2 months now. We got her neutered and up-to-date on shots in mid-September. She has been with two other dogs in our house - an older border collie and a pit bull mix. She gets along well with them, but does occasionally get aggressive over chew toys. As for children, we have an 11 year old girl and an 8 year old boy, and she has been completely patient and sweet with them. We trust her to roam our house freely while we are home. We crate her when we are not present. She does occasionally get into trouble with chewing up shoelaces. She needs some training time. Fee is negotiable for a good home.
