Beetle gets called beautiful everywhere we go, and that description fits her perfectly... inside and out! This 5-year-old could not be sweeter to her humans and will see you as her flock. She likes taking long walks and LOVES her back yard (though she shouldn't be left out for long, as she is built for the cold). Don't let her love of walks fool you, she is a huge couch potato and loves lounging around with her humans for a lazy afternoon. She is fully up to date on all veterinary needs and is fully potty trained. She will need a home that is willing to work with her on her separation anxiety and, importantly, a home that does not have other dogs.

Story
Hello our dogs name is Peanut he is a loving dog with alot of energy. He is 2 yrs old his birthday is March 1st. We want him to have the best life he can and we sadly are not providing that at the moment. He needs an experienced human that has time to take him outside on long walks and play with him. We unfortunately have less and less time to be able to meet his need as much as we should. He needs training and we dont have the funds to afford the amout that it costs, we have looked into multiple companies for quotes. He is house trained and knows some commands like stay, leave it, eat, and down. He is not leash trained and needs to be socialized a bit more he has regressed these past few months.

Adopted: 2023 in San Antonio, TX from the Animal Defense League. Casanova is a little less than three years old. He needs a patient owner who can handle intelligent dogs with an anxious temperament. He is playful and energetic when the moment is right, but generally likes to be lazy and hang out with us. When meeting people and dogs in "his" house he is initially weary, but most of the time he quickly warms up to anyone. Out on a walk he has no problems approaching people and dogs to try to play. Not destructive at all, especially if given toys to tear up on occasion. Perfectly house trained and is used to having a backyard to do his business. Leash trained. Casanova doesn't typically interact with children but he has never shown any aggression towards them. Gets annoyed if he doesn't want to be messed with so he needs his space. He is used to eating food prepared in a pressure cooker mixed with kibble, and sometimes refuses to eat kibble if it's not "good enough" for him. Independent

Story
Meet Anna. Anna is estimated to be 6 years old, she is spayed and current on all of her vaccines and preventions. Anna was found roaming the streets of a rural area. She was shoo'd off from so many houses, unsure of where to go. She was brought into a local clinic to check for a microchip. She was chipped, but unfortunately the microchip was not registered. That was it, the end of her rope. She was set up for euthanasia- that's when we got the call! Anna is as sweet as can be, a "gentle giant". She was wonderful for the vet and technicians. She does great on a leash and has shown us that she is very potty trained. Anna has not been dog tested yet, but is not reactive towards the other dogs here at the facility. We believe Miss Anna would do best in a calm home. She has a very low energy level. All she needs a human that loves to cuddle and a comfy place to sleep. Reach out to ask any additional questions or to schedule a meet and greet!
