Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

The clean snow look is what I am going for :) I am a swweeettt girl, saved from the pound after I was adopted AND returned within a month.... no one really knows why I was returned cause all the people in the rescue are absolutely enamored with me. Meet Polar, this sweet Great Pyrenees will warm your heart and make you fall in love! But not before you know what he went through to GET to this point! This is RESCUE FOLKS... It ain't PRETTY or NICE all the time... Polar came to us after found on the side of the road, and guess what?? He couldn't walk- - he was in so much pain :( SO what did we do?? WE SAVED HIM, we gave him TIME to gain weight and we gave him SURGERY so he could walk without pain! We gave him LOTS OF LOVE as he got stronger and he gave it back to us! Polar is a big pyr, pretty classic appearance. And he really would do great home with one other dog would be ideal. He is just a big puppy, he loves his family so hard, with all the drool that goes with being a big PUPPY! Don't get me wrong, he is not an active boy-UNLESS loving you is a SPORT, then he is an OLYMPIC medalist!! Seriously, I cannot say more great things about Polar, but that HE IS AVAILABLE FOR HIS FAMILY!! ADOPT..... DON'T SHOP!!!! Millions of dogs and kitties are waiting to LIVE! Snow is a pretty typical name for a white dog.... but for me it is like a sweet cool breeze! Because I HAVE a NAME and LOVE to go with it!! You see, I was living in a home that didn't want me up until I arrived at the rescue several weeks ago. So, I didn't get a nice name, or a bed or love and hardly any food :( I am still shy at first but my life has changed so so much that I can't help but love everyone now :) I especially love other dogs and would be best in a home with another loving, confident dog. I will just need the love I have been craving, so if I look like your next family member then you better fill out the adoption application soon!! 501(c)(3) non-profit animal sanctuary received a pair of Great Pyrenees LGDs from a rancher who sold his goats. Turned out the female was bred and had a litter of seven puppies January 20, 2024. They have been around my miniature goats, but I don't have them in the pasture because I need to adopt them to their own farms and ranches, so don't want anyone to get hurt. PUPS ADOPTION FEE IS 2 5 0. but negotiable for more than one. My mini goats can be very hard on dogs and have no problem butting them if they get too close. Pups have had wormings, coccidiosis prevention, and due for vaccinations which they will receive again upon leaving. They are ready to go now when someone is ready for them. They are at a good age to learn about being livestock guardians. They are not spayed or neutered because my vet and I don't believe in juvenile spays or neuters. They do have beautiful coats and double dew claws in the rear (per the GP standard). Five girls, two boys. Please PM me if you'd like to adopt. All adoption fees go to my rescue. PERSONALITY TRAITS ARE SO MANY, HARD TO CHOOSE.
