Story
Tripp is 5 years old. My son went to college and came back with him, but Tripp became my responsibility. As much as I like him, I cannot keep up with his care in my house as I work full time and weekend part time job. Tripp has been in my house for 2 plus years now. I have a small chihuahua and cat already. Tripp is very sweet. He gets itchy and I give him Benadryl, I also spray Lanacane First Aid Spray 2-in-1 Kills Germs on his itchy spot and stops almost immediately. I give him a bath biweekly with soothing mild shampoo.

Story
Meet Molly, the sweetest cuddler you'll ever meet. This little lady is a bit shy but melts in your lap at the drop of a hat. She's incredibly smart too - she mastered the doggie door on her first day and has been pottying outside like a champ ever since. Molly isn't one for jumping or barking; she's sensitive to correction and is eager to please. This smart girl would thrive in a loving family environment that can help boost her confidence. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's already showing great potential, Molly might just be your perfect match! Molly is a Female Great Pyrenees/Lab Mix that we estimate to be born around 4/28/2024.

Story
Hannah was saved back in March. Her owners decided one day they didn’t want her anymore, so they locked her out of her yard and replaced her with a new puppy. Hannah’s life continued to get worse from there. While living as an unwanted dog, she was shot at, and the bullet is still in her hip. She was also hit by a car at some point and has some old fractures in her back end that healed incorrectly but are too old to repair. She struggled gaining weight for a while. A vet trip for what we thought was a UTI ended up in her being diagnosed with diabetes. Her diabetes journey has not been easy, and recently resulted in an ER trip for nearing DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis, a life-threatening condition that can occur when blood sugar levels become too high and there is not enough insulin to control them). Fortunately, after having the ER stabilize her and take over her care, she’s been making steady improvements. Hannah is dog & cat friendly. She loves to go on walks, is good on a leash and loves car rides. She fears thunderstorms/fireworks. She wants to be with her human all the time and loves belly rubs. She is more on the dominant side. On occasion she will engage in play with other dogs. She is good using a doggy door except when her numbers are high (frequent urination can be common in diabetic dogs). As far as the bullet and bad hip, you’d never even know that something is wrong. She runs and jumps very well and doesn’t show any signs of pain. Hannah is a very sweet girl that just wants love. She loves to snuggle up on the couch/bed and is also good with children!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.HW Neg on intake now Pos had 2 cycles Doxy and proheart12 injectionDid you notice Lily’s beautiful ginger colored freckles on her ears and face and her ginger heart on the top of her head?  Lily is absolutely beautiful and has a wonderful personality to match her good looks.  Lily is curious, confident and loves people of all ages.  When it comes to snuggles, she is happy to get all of the pets and cuddles she can, all to herself from her humans.  Lily is great with respectful children, she is potty trained, crate trained, and mindful of baby gates, to contain her if needed.  Lily is good with other dogs, however she does prefer the company of male dogs.  In public areas and in her own yard she is respectful and does play well with other females and males, yet she doesn’t prefer to share her home with other females.  Lily would be fine either as an only dog or in small pack with mostly male companions.  Lily is great around cats, horses, and donkeys!  At around 3 years old, Lily still has some puppy in her, she loves to play!    Lily Embark DNA tested as 100% Great Pyrenees!  She is a wonderful floof with a shorter coat, which is perfect for a family that doesn’t want to worry with the daily and weekly grooming needed with a dog with longer fur. Lily also loves car rides and she would be a great traveling companion, but watch out for those car windows!  To adopt Lily, submit an application to: www.greatpyreneesadvocatesoftexas.org (Texas adoptions only) Adoption Criteria (adult 1-8 years) 1. GPAT dogs are located in Texas, will consider out-of-state adoptions on a case by case basis.  2. Adoption Fee: $375.00 (includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test). 3. We only adopt out companion dogs that will be considered part of the family and will be primarily inside dogs.   4. Preference is for applicants to have some knowledge and experience with the Great Pyrenees breed. Specific information about the breed will be shared during the interview/virtual home visit.  5. Secure and visible fencing is required. In a very few cases, fencing options will be considered based on the specific needs of a particular dog.  6. Preference is for applicants willing to provide "positive" training to adopted dogs. 7. All current pets in adoptive homes should be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.       Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 16, 2024, 5:06 pm
