Story
Trip had to have his leg amputated as it healed improperly after it was broken while he was a growing puppy. However, he is one of the happiest, silliest boys you could hope to meet. He lives with lots of other dogs and is a favorite playmate for most of them - he loves all his canine buddies and is fine around cats. Trip loves all humans he meets and would be a great addition to any home looking for a playful, outgoing dog. He is mostly crate trained and will ask to go outside, however he has not been up longer than overnight without a potty break. He does not get many chances to go for car rides but enjoys it when he can. Trip is fully vetted - current with all vaccines, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, neutered and microchipped.

Story
Meet Abel! Abel is a handsome 5 1/2 month old (as of 01-30-2025) Great Pyrenees pup currently weighing approx. 55 Lbs.  Abel is the best pup! He is doing great with potty training, basic training and takes correction well. He really is such a smart boy! Abel is the epitome of a family dog! He adores children and loves their affection and interacting with them. Abel does great with other dogs and would get along great if you have a cat in the home too. Fully grown, Great Pyrenees are estimated to be about 80-100lbs. Due to their large size, we recommend researching all of the pros and cons of adopting a large to extra large breed puppy before adopting if you have small children or toddlers in the home.   Puppies need a home with the time and patience to teach them how to be the best doggies they can be. They are working on learning all their doggie manners and becoming great family companions. Their adoption fee includes spay/neuter, 3 sets of vaccinations, dewormer, first dose of HW prevention, microchip and microchip registration.  For more information or to schedule a meet and greet with the pups, complete an online application and the foster will be in touch! https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/ DOB: 8/11/2024 Weight: Approx 80-100lbs when full grown. We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
I have had Samus for 5 years and he is the sweetest gentle giant and a bit timid at first. He’s friendly and loves to lay his head on your lap and be petted. I am rehoming him because I will be downsizing my living space and have a lifestyle where I am not home often. I am looking for a loving home for him where there is potentially other dogs for him to play with and caregivers that can give him the attention that he needs. A few things about Samus: * He is great with other dogs * He has never been around cats so not sure how he will respond * He sleeps alot * He is playful and curious * He is great with kids

Story
When Monty first joined the rescue, he was shy and withdrawn, often finding comfort in hiding in a corner. But with time, patience, and plenty of love, this sweet boy has made incredible strides in building his confidence! Just the other day, his foster mom took him to the dog park, where he got to show off his progress. We are so proud of him! Monty is fantastic with other dogs and would thrive in a home with another dog that likes to play. He was almost completely hairless a couple months ago, but we are seeing new hair growth everyday! Monty has been fully vetted and is ready to find his forever home! Monty is a 7 month old and a Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix. If you are interested in adopting Monty, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 3 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2189369##

Story
Meet Ducky! 🐾 Ducky is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves to cuddle and be close to his humans. He is house-trained and crate-trained, making him a well-mannered companion at home. Ducky gets along great with other dogs and has attended training classes, so he is good with manners. While Ducky is a wonderful dog, he does have a few quirks. He can get anxious in unfamiliar settings and is still working on not jumping when he's overly excited. Although he is sweet to all humans, Ducky sometimes forgets his size, so we are cautious when he’s around children for the first time. If you're looking for a loving, cuddly dog, Ducky could be the perfect addition to your family! We selfishly would love to keep Ducky for the remainder of his life, but due to unforeseen circumstances we have faced over the last few months, Ducky is now living in a small apartment with no yard access- this is not fair for him. If you think Ducky might be a good fit for you / your family, please contact us!
