Story
We rescued Sam in August from a situation where he was kept outdoors in the Texas heat and neglected. He had raw and infected feet, worms, and was missing a lot of fur. Over the past few months, we've nursed him back to health, getting his vaccinations and preventative meds done, and all his fur has grown back. He is now a healthy, happy, cuddly boy who is doing well with training (knows sit and stay) , is great on a leash, and has gotten along well with our other dog and cat. He loves the dog park and his favorite toy is a tennis ball. We love him very much but are planning an out-of-state move where we will be renting and unable to have 2 large dogs. We want to find him a loving forever home.

Story
Prepare your heart for battle—meet the Gladiator Litter, tiny warriors with unstoppable spirit. These cuties are ready to fight for your love! Maximus, Tigris, Cicero, Arishat, Commodus, Juba, Falco, Lucilla, Lucius, and Proximo appear to be a mix of Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd, but with no mom or dad in the picture, it is difficult to determine their exact lineage. This brave crew was rescued by the Bexar County Animal Facility and we were eager to welcome them into our program. With their size in mind, these mighty mutts will be medium to large dogs; so perfect for those leading an active lifestyle. They are full of play and lots and lots of love. Would you let one of these puppies be your Roman empire? Submit your application below!

Story
“The oak fought the wind and was broken, the willow bent when it must and survived.” This special girl is the strongest Willow of all. Having weathered the storm of being homeless and giving birth to six babies, she still stands tall and beautiful! Willow has luckily found refuge with a foster to raise her pups, but in a few weeks, she will be ready to lay roots in a forever home. Willow is a great mama and an even better companion. Her sweet, gentle temperament makes her an angel in the eyes of our staff. At three years old, she has mastered her manners and taken on an air of maturity. Willow is an attentive dog who will cuddle her family all day long. We know it won’t be long before she claims an adopter’s heart. If you think you could be the one to give Willow the home of her dreams, please place an application today.
