Story
Misha has always had one setting: all in. Water is her happy place. Pools, lakes, splash zones, puddles that look vaguely promising. If it glimmers, she is in it. Add a doggie door and she considers life complete. She also loves toys, active play, and any plan that involves movement. After breakfast, she is ready for a trail walk and would happily level up to jogging partner status. If your idea of a good day includes miles under your feet and wind in your hair, Misha is already lacing up her invisible sneakers. She is high energy in the best way, the kind that turns ordinary afternoons into small expeditions. Big and stunning, she draws eyes wherever she goes, but it is her joyful spirit that really lands. Misha does well with cats and wants to play with them, though she can be a bit much. She would do best with kiddos eight and up. She adores little ones, but sometimes forgets she is built like a full sized linebacker wrapped in velvet. She is professionally trained and knows her good girl skills. Like any bright, spirited dog, she benefits from positive reinforcement and consistency to maintain her excellent manners. If your household is ready for love, laughter, and a daily dose of motion, Misha is ready to dive in headfirst. Come meet her and let the adventures begin 💙

Great Pyrenees Australian Cattle Dog

Female, 2 yrs 2 mos

Story
Honey-Bun (aka “Bunny”, “Bun-Bun”, and “you’re so cute”) Meet Honey Bun — equal parts snuggle bug, comedian, and tiny, quirky queen. A Golden Retriever/Cattle dog mix. Her name fits her perfectly—her coat is the color of Honey, and she’s just as sweet. She is on the smaller side, only 48 lbs). If you’re looking for a velcro dog who will be your shadow on the sofa, curl up as close as physically possible, and melt at gentle affection, Honey is your girl. She’s sensitive, deeply loving, and thrives with patience, calm energy, and someone who appreciates a dog with a little extra personality. She is fine with other dogs, and she loves to play. Slow introductions are recommended as she is shy and nervous at first. If you have a house full of cute little kids, Honey is not for you. However, she does fantastic with older kids and loves the attention she gets from them. (Foster-home have teenagers!) She enjoys emptying our very large toy box, throwing the toys around on the soft rug. It’s adorable. Honey's story didn’t start easy. She was left on a country road and waited there for two weeks, hoping her family would come back. They didn’t. When she was rescued, she was completely shut down — too scared to walk, ride in a car, or even move. Over time, she began to trust again… only to be displaced once more when her rescuer couldn’t keep her. That’s when she came to us. And yes — we started back at square one. Frozen in the yard, unsure of everything, overwhelmed by the world. She has come a long way and is so courageous these days, but fairly certain she will digress slightly upon arrival to a new home. But here’s where Honey shows you who she really is. With time, encouragement, a pack of five very patient resident dogs, and (let’s be honest) a steady supply of treats, she blossomed. The dog who once “pancaked” on walks now sprints to the door when she senses it’s time to go out. Doorways? Conquered. Garage door noises? Irrelevant. The bed she once hid under? Long forgotten. What you get now is Honey 2.0 — a happy, hilarious little character who quite literally smiles all day. She’s food-motivated (carrots and ice included), endlessly entertaining as she digs herself into the couch cushions Her signature move on walks: spotting another dog and transforming into a pogo stick. Have never seen anything like it. She’s also a world-class backyard observer. She loves watching the world go by. Squirrels? Fascinating. Bunnies? Immediate pogo activation. Birds? Not worth her time. Honey is house-trained, doesn’t bark much, knows a couple of basic commands (sit, no, treats) and is very eager to please. Training will come over time — confidence was the real work, and she’s already done the hard part. She does best with patient and gentle guidance; raised voices will shut her down. Please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Valentine is 11 weeks old and almost ready for her new home! This cute little lady is going to be a big girl! Her full DNA is in the pictures and it's quite a mix. Valentine is currently 21 pounds of love, happiness and puppy playfulness. She loves toys or bones particularly - loves lamb chop and her big antler chew bones. She is crate trained, and sleeps through the night. We're still working on potty training as she was born and raised on the streets for the first six weeks of her life. She is dog friendly and would love a dog sibling to play with in her forever home! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet.May 9, 2026, 12:08 am
