Story
Chi made an excellent impression on me when I first met him. He was trained, he was loving and wanted nothing but attention. Despite his size, chi is an at home dog by definition. He only asks that you pet him every so often and let him know where you’re going. He’s active and loves to meet other dogs, especially small ones, but also loves to have a chill day in the house as long as he gets to touch some grass! Chi also serves as one of the best hug givers I’ve ever met (humans included). He is protective, but not overbearing whatsoever! He loves cats and smaller animals and does so well in their environment. His reactions are kind and thoughtful if he is not being received by other animals, and will respect their space if needed. Chi is one of the best dogs I’ve ever had, and I am truly sad to have to let him go. But I promise that whichever family is willing to love this guy the way I have, he will be the most loyal, most caring, most respectful and sound dog for your home.

Story
Meet Tula Tula is a 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix (3/4 Great Pyrenees and 1/4 Anatolian shepherd) she is the sweetest cuddle bug and a great protector. She is not good with other dogs typically she will get along with them and then out of nowhere become territorial which is why she would need to be the only dog in the household or an outdoor dog. She is not super good with children and would need to be supervised around any children. she’s like a grumpy old lady thats really sweet and loves hugs. She does well with cats as well and small animals she ignores them mostly. She’s completely house trained and kennel trained but she refers being outside.

Story
Hello, My name is Oliver and I am a 5 year old Great Pyrenees/German Sheppard mix. I am friendly with other humans and dogs (I can be shy at first). I am goofy and a great companion to others. However, I can be terrified of rain, thunder, and wind. I prefer to be in a cozy space where I can hear less wind. I also am scared of children. Though I am harmless to children, I would like to be away from them as much as possible. I am fine with the crate. I love to run and play tug of war. I know how to sit, stay, turn around. My current parents are unable to keep me in a crate all day due to their grueling work hours. Mom will be gone 12 hrs a day, dad will be gone for 2 days straight. Crating during their work days haven’t been ideal for myself or my parents. I would love a new home to parents who can commit more time and resources to me as I am ready for a new energetic and playful family.

Story
This beautiful soul has been on an incredible journey, enduring a challenging stay at the shelter, waiting and hoping for a loving forever home. Despite his stunning looks and heartwarming personality, Apollo remained overlooked for months. He's a dog who's seen the worst of it yet still holds onto hope and love. Finally liberated from the confines of the shelter, Apollo's enthusiasm for life knows no bounds. His heart is filled with joy, and he's ready to share that boundless affection with a family who sees the gem he truly is. Apollo's a big boy with an even bigger heart. He adores the company of other dogs and revels in playtime. However, he thrives on structure, guidance, and plenty of activity. Smart as a whip, Apollo's intelligence and quick learning skills will astound you. This sweet boy, at around 3 years old and weighing between 60-65lbs, deserves a home that matches his spirit—a place with experienced, loving humans who understand the needs of a larger dog like him. Living in Houston, Apollo has bravely battled heartworm, a common challenge in these parts. But fear not, Scout’s Honor is ensuring Apollo receives the best care. Whether you choose to adopt him now or after he's cleared, we'll continue covering his medical expenses, ensuring he gets the care he needs. He's a fighter and with your support, he'll come out stronger than ever. If your heart swells at the thought of giving Apollo the home he dreams of, please consider fostering or adopting him. Start the journey by filling out an application at www.scoutshonor.org. Your love and compassion could be the key to unlocking Apollo's happily ever after. Scout's Honor Rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters. EIN # is 87-0773073 Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/scoutshonorrescue or Instagram at www.instagram.com/scoutshonorrescue We have multiple ways to donate: Venmo:  @ScoutsHonor-Rescue Paypal: www.paypal.me/scoutshonorrescue   https://scoutshonor.org/take-action/donate/ We are strictly volunteer based, no salaries are paid and 100% of donations go towards rescuing dogs November 5, 2024, 1:18 am

Story
Hi everyone, meet Rosa! She is the sweetest, most loyal dog you will meet, loves to play and frolic, but also loves taking a long nice nap when you’re at work or when working from home. She is potty trained, walks well on a leash, loves to please (easy to train), smart, doesn’t chew on anything but her toys, is crate trained, and great with young kids. Would likely also be good with cats, although has not been tested. She LOVES dogs and would do best in a home with another young-ish dog to play with. She’s a shepherd, so she is protective, however, never aggressive. She is shy, and will take a couple days to warm up, but once she does, she will be your best friend forever! Some other pluses: 🌹 Her favorite thing in the world are belly rubs so your hands will never be idle! 🌹 She loves her crate. 🌹 One of her favorite activities is chasing those pesky lizards, which is great fun to watch! 🌹 She’s gorgeous! Rosa is a female Anatolian Shepherd with an estimated birthday of 10/1/2022. She weighs 46 lbs
