Story
I have 8 Pyrennees puppies and they are absolutely awesome dogs. I am the current owner of the mom and dad of them. Unfortunately I don’t have the space and time for more dogs so I do have to get them out. The dad and mom are very active and great with small kids and very protective of their territory and their space from outsiders. They are not aggressive of very vocal unless alerted. Adoption fee is negotiable I really want them to go to a good home where they can be active and live a full life

Story
I have three dogs. Fifi is 8 years old, and Lilah is 4 years old, and Blanka is 3 years old, but lately Lilah and Blanka have been fighting. Blanka is friendly with people and children and other dogs; she does not mess with Fifi at all, but when it comes to her and Lilah, they have issues with each other. Before they hurt each other, I would like to find Blanka a new home, someone that will love her and treat her right. She is a lab mix with great pyrenees

Story
Hello. My name is Vaughn. I am a 2 year old, female, Great Pyr mix. I was recently surrendered by my owners as they could not continue to take care of me. So now, I am looking for my new furever home. I am 90lbs of pure love to give and am looking for a home to match my playful energy. Being the breed that I am, I do shed quite a bit but it can be maintained with regular brushing. I am dog selective and have made a friend since I arrived but if you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is suggested to make sure we get along. I have been a shelter resident for 90 days as of 03/03/25 and am now a Diamond Dog. My adoption fee is $75. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccine, boosters to date and heartworm negative. If you are interested in adoption, please submit your online adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. March 3, 2025, 11:55 am

Story
Meet Barney! This pup was wondering around our community for weeks as a stray. Catching him wasn’t easy but let me tell ya, now that he’s had a taste of AC he’s never going back to the stray life haha. Barney in typical Great Pyrenees fashion is an absolute LOVER. He wants do be near his humans and he wants that Pyr fur all over you! Great with dogs big and small although not super playful. Definitely more of a wallflower with the occasional zoomie. Leash work is still a work in progress which for this breed is a lifelong project. What he lacks in that department however he makes up for in looks and charm. -House/Crate Trained -Good with other dogs -Over the top loving -Moderate energy -Loves being with his human. Barney is such a sweet and well tempered boy that woudl do best in a quiet house, as he can be a nervous nelly. We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Carson!  This handsome lovebug is obsessed with people and he is so happy!  Born around November 2021, he weighs around 85 pounds and has the most adorable freckles sprinkled on his muzzle. Sweet Carson loves everyone and wants to be as close to you as possible.  He loves to gently give you his paw and sweetly give you kisses.  He’s a Velcro dog!  He might even climb in your lap if you allow it. Prior to coming to SPIN, Carson was running as a stray and had been hit by a car.  His back leg was broken and had to be amputated.  He is all healed now and walks great on his three remaining legs. Carson gets along great with other dogs.  He likes to “pet” the dogs in his foster home!  He’ll sit next to them, pat them on the head with his paw (pat, pat, pat), then switch to his other paw and give them more gentle pats.  So sweet! He loves to be brushed!  When you use the undercoat grooming rake on him, he will lay there and roll around so you can get every nook and cranny! He could live in a multi-dog household or as your one-and-only best dog.  He is slightly playful, and occasionally enjoys picking up a toy.  His happiest place is with people. Sweet Carson is totally house trained.  He has no need for a crate.  He rides well in a car.  He doesn’t bark much. Carson will do best in a one-story home, so he doesn’t have to negotiate many stairs.  Children in the home should be old enough to understand that they shouldn’t lean on him, knocking him off balance. Carson is so joyful, he will have you smiling every time you look at him. SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
