Story
Bear is almost 2 years old. We found him and 2 others on the side of the road when they were about 3 months old. We took them in to foster for a short time to ensure that they were healthy and loved while the shelters were full. We are hoping to get him to a home where he will be able to run around, get his energy out and explore. He is very sweet, playful and curious. He gets along well with dogs and cats. He is also good around children. Bear has never been a single pet in a household so we are not sure how he will do as a solo pet. He is up to date on shots and does well at the boarding facility with other animals. Loves: -playing in water -getting toys out of the bin -getting treats for doing tasks -observing you cook -being on a schedule Dislikes: -sharing his toys -eating around others

Story
Hello. My name is Vaughn. I am a 2 year old, female, Great Pyr mix. I was recently surrendered by my owners as they could not continue to take care of me. So now, I am looking for my new furever home. I am 90lbs of pure love to give and am looking for a home to match my playful energy. Being the breed that I am, I do shed quite a bit but it can be maintained with regular brushing. I am dog selective and have made a friend since I arrived but if you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is suggested to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccine, boosters to date and heartworm negative. If you are interested in adoption, please submit your online adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. January 8, 2025, 4:48 pm

Story
Hi! I'm Spencer! I'm an approximately 12 week old(as of 1/16/2025), male, Great Pyr mix. I am still a young guy so meet and greets will be by approved application only. I tested positive for Parvo on December 18th and have since survived the virus! After beating parvo, I came down with an upper respiratory infection and have successfully beaten that! I am one strong, little guy and am excited to find my furr ever home. I am a cuddly little dude who is still learning my way around this great big world! Since I am a puppy, I will need help with basic training and commands to help me to thrive as an adult! My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on rabies vaccination, 1st dewormer, and 1st set of puppy boosters. Please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application and RAC staff will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet with approved applicants.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Meet Barney! This pup was wondering around our community for weeks as a stray. Catching him wasn’t easy but let me tell ya, now that he’s had a taste of AC he’s never going back to the stray life haha. Barney in typical Great Pyrenees fashion is an absolute LOVER. He wants do be near his humans and he wants that Pyr fur all over you! Great with dogs big and small although not super playful. Definitely more of a wallflower with the occasional zoomie. Leash work is still a work in progress which for this breed is a lifelong project. What he lacks in that department however he makes up for in looks and charm. -House/Crate Trained -Good with other dogs -Over the top loving -Moderate energy -Loves being with his human. Barney is such a sweet and well tempered boy that woudl do best in a quiet house, as he can be a nervous nelly. We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Carson!  This handsome lovebug is obsessed with people and he is so happy!  Born around November 2021, he weighs around 85 pounds and has the most adorable freckles sprinkled on his muzzle. Sweet Carson loves everyone and wants to be as close to you as possible.  He loves to gently give you his paw and sweetly give you kisses.  He’s a Velcro dog!  He might even climb in your lap if you allow it. Prior to coming to SPIN, Carson was running as a stray and had been hit by a car.  His back leg was broken and had to be amputated.  He is all healed now and walks great on his three remaining legs. Carson gets along great with other dogs.  He likes to “pet” the dogs in his foster home!  He’ll sit next to them, pat them on the head with his paw (pat, pat, pat), then switch to his other paw and give them more gentle pats.  So sweet! He loves to be brushed!  When you use the undercoat grooming rake on him, he will lay there and roll around so you can get every nook and cranny! He could live in a multi-dog household or as your one-and-only best dog.  He is slightly playful, and occasionally enjoys picking up a toy.  His happiest place is with people. Sweet Carson is totally house trained.  He has no need for a crate.  He rides well in a car.  He doesn’t bark much. Carson will do best in a one-story home, so he doesn’t have to negotiate many stairs.  Children in the home should be old enough to understand that they shouldn’t lean on him, knocking him off balance. Carson is so joyful, he will have you smiling every time you look at him. SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Juniper!  Born around February 2022, she is a sweet, happy girl who we rescued from a local shelter.  She is on the small side around 50 pounds.  Her DNA test revealed that she is 51% Great Pyrenees and 24% Australian Cattle Dog. Juniper is as cute as can be with her alert little ears and a spattering of freckles across her muzzle. She loves to play and run, especially with doggy friends. Juniper absolutely adores puppies!  She has a blast playing with them and is cautious not to hurt them.  She mostly performs a lot of play bows, boops them with her nose, and jovially scampers away with their toys. She takes a little more time warming up to new adult dogs, but her playfulness is so contagious that even the senior Pyr in her foster home joins her for romps in the yard. She would love to have at least one playful doggy companion in her forever home. Juniper is great with children but due to her puppy playfulness, she would be best with children over five years old. She loves going for trips in the car and loads up easily.  She has so much fun looking out the window and settles down for petting along the way. She is fully house trained, and she is great on leash.  She is crate trained, but has no need for one. She is food motivated, an enthusiastic eater, and takes her treats gently. She wants to work hard for treats, so she is a quick study for learning new commands and tricks. Juniper needs a family who will include her in their adventures.  She needs enough exercise and mental stimulation to meet her energy level and help her tap into the more relaxed Great Pyrenees side of her genetic makeup. SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old.
