Story
Merlin, like his name, is a wizard when it comes to getting out of normal fences. He is used to living on a big plot of land with very high fences. He is very sweet and is a fantastic guard dog, monitoring the land for any visitors. He has been with his bonded pair, a Morgana his whole life (about 5 years) and they love to play together. The ideal home would have no other dogs, a secure fence with room to roam and room for his bonded pair Morgana as well. I’d really want them to stay together.

Story
Hi, I’m Casper. I’m a big, gentle guy with an even bigger heart. I’m house trained, well behaved, and I love being around people. I get along great with other dogs and kids, but cats aren’t really my thing. I’m affectionate, confident, and happiest when I’m close to my people, whether that’s playing with toys, going for a walk where I stay right by your side, or soaking up attention. I’m a true cuddle dog and I love hugs, wagging my tail every chance I get. I’m still working on remembering not to jump when I get excited, but that just comes from how happy I am to meet new friends. If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet, and loving companion who wants to be part of your everyday life, I might be your perfect match.

Story
Hi, I’m Noah! I’m a 2-year-old Pyrenees mix weighing about 68 pounds, and I’m a gentle, affectionate guy with a big heart. I’m well-behaved, confident, and very loving, especially when it comes to cuddles. I truly enjoy being close to my people and soaking up all the attention I can get. I get along great with other dogs, cats, and kids, which makes me an easy fit for many different homes. I’m very cuddly and a little clingy in the sweetest way, I just love love and giving hugs. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who wants nothing more than to be part of your world, I think we’d be a perfect match.

Story
Molly was found at around 8 weeks old on the side of the road and we took her in. She got along well with our other dogs but unfortunately my wife and I were expecting in the near future and we were unable to keep up with the energy of a puppy as well as keeping a newborn entertained. We want to find a loving home that she can run around and play like she deserves.

Story
***DFW area only-No Exceptions*** Available for pre-adoption with a go home date of 12/27/25. Frost is a 6 weeks (as of 12/21/25) possibly Great Pyrenees/Australian cattle dog mix puppy. Her litter was left at the back door of a local shelter at just one week of age. Her foster mom saw a plea and brought her in to the Legacy Humane fold! Since then, the pups have progressed from bottle feeding to solid food and are now ready for adoption! Frost loves to be played with, is observant, sweet and adventurous. She is very smart and catches on to routines quickly. She is a very pretty puppy with pink highlights and even a pinkish nose. Puppies at this age will require patience and training to become the best pup they can be. Frost is working on potty training and, given a potty schedule, she does very well for her young age. She’s even beginning to go to the back door to request to go out. Frost does well with kids old enough to understand puppy behavior (~8ys and up). So far she does well with other dogs and cats but may not be a good fit for cats as she gets older. Faith responds well to corrections from adult dogs and curtails her behavior accordingly. She would do best in a home with a yard.  This puppy has not had two sets of shots at this time. Adopters must have a private place for potty training to reduce the chances for life threatening illnesses until the second set of shots are given. No dog parks or shared potty spaces with unknown dogs.  Current weight 6 lbs Projected weight 70+ lbs Beginning crate training    We are requesting a donation of $325 for the adoption which includes her spay, three rounds of puppy vaccines, a rabies vaccine, microchip with registration, dewormer and a single dose of heartworm preventative.  If you're interested in meeting or adopting her, please complete an application on our website and someone will reach out to you within 48 hours.  https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Adopter will take puppy to an LHS approved vet to be neutered in July of 2025 per the spay/neuter agreement and in accordance to Chapter 828, Texas Health and Safety Code.  *Due to the high volume of applications and inquires for puppies as well as vetting needs, we will not be able to respond to or consider interest from those outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.    We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
