If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. Story
Welcome Anna to CCPAL Rescue. Anna is a 3-year old Great Pyrenees. She is about 65 pounds and we saved from a high kill Animal Control here in Texas. She was pregnant so CCPAL took her in. She was too far along and we didn’t want to see her or her puppies euthanized. She had 9 puppies. They are about weaned so she will begin to dry up and be ready for her forever home. She does not have the extra dew claw on her back feet but some of her puppies do have it. She is very mellow and doesn’t jump up. She is friendly and laid back to strangers. She would be great with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She could go with a family that is low to moderately active as she is very chill. She is good on a leash and in a car. She is good in a crate and has met lots of dogs smaller than herself and has done great with all of them. She wasn’t at all reactive on leash and is an overall wonderful dog. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We would love her to go more north because the temperatures are less warm and she has a big beautiful coat. She will need brushing to keep her beautiful coat. We would love someone that has owned a guardian breed. This is an amazing breed and will do better in a fence over underground fencing. She is healthy, vaccinated and will be spayed soon and ready for her forever home. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas anc can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
Welcome Sadie to CCPAL foster Program. Sadie is a 5-year-old Great Pyrenees and maybe Mastiff dog mix dog. She was gotten to be a livestock guardian and while she likes livestock, she does not feel the desire to guard. She is a house pet. She is what we call a couch potato. She does not get on the couch in her foster home, but she is laid back and very contented to lounge. She knows sit, doesn’t jump up, good with dogs, good with cats, good with kids, potty trained and ready for her forever home. She loves to sun herself outside and will dig a small spot to lay in. She would be good as an only dog or with other dogs. She is more of a companion animal over the outdoor and hiking type. She weighs about 70 pounds. She is vaccinated, spayed, heartworm negative and a joy to have around. She is being fostered in an environment that is loud, has lots of animals and new people all the time. She is very calm in this environment. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Well hello, I’m Spot! I believe I got my name because of the brown spot on my eye which really sets me apart from the others! I can be shy, but once you show me it’s okay I`m the biggest baby! Now I might bark at you in my kennel, but that’s just my way of asking you to take me out. I love getting my zoomies out! When you hype me up I zoom all over the place as fast as I can go. Personally I like to imagine I`m a race car! I love treats and giving my human friends hugs! I am the most lovable boy so if my looks don’t catch your eye my personality sure will! Come say hi and see if my race car abilities, cuddles, and looks steal your heart!

And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I have a very sweet and playful nature that is very social and I'm now ready to start on this new chapter of my life with lots of hugs, puppy kisses and playtime with my new family!!! I'm around 3 months old and I come in at about 11lbs, which should put me a fantastic medium size when I get myself all growed up. I love playing and am energetic, ready to share in all your adventures from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting!! I'm good with people, other pups and although I haven't met any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet but at my tender age, if introduced properly, I should do fine with them too. I've got a beautiful coat that is super easy in the maintenance department, kind of a wash-n-go type of gal. You do know what that means, don't ya? Yep yep, more time for the spoil me rotten department!! I look like I might be a Bernese Mt dog mix along with anyone's best guess but maybe a Labrador Retriever. I am sooooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness on a family and be that lil heartbeat at your feet, so if you think I'd be a pawsome fit for your home, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application!
