Story
Vortex is a shy, smart fella who was born 11/26/23. Guessing on breeds, looks to be a pyr/ lab / hound mix best guess. He will likely be a larger sized dog and has beautiful markings. He is currently 40 lbs and growing. He is current on vaccinations, preventions, neutered and chipped. Due to breed characters, physically fenced yard is required. He is doing great at using the doggy door to go outside as needed when he has access to it. If you think you can be that family for Vortex, please fill out our adoption application on our website at www.safehaventn.com . We are happy to set up a meet and greet for the approved application. His adoption fee is $150 and he is being fostered in Cookeville, TN. Out of state adoptions are $225 plus the cost of transport if not picked up in Tennessee.

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Simon, the happy and playful 1-year-old Great Pyrenees and Golden Retriever mix. Weighing in at 53 pounds, Simon has the size and goofy disposition of a Golden with the bark and fluff of a Pyrenees. He has a medium to high energy level for playtime but also knows how to relax. His big, silly grin and gentle pawing for pets will melt your heart. Simon's adorable habit of sleeping upside down in his crate with his legs in the air will surely make you smile. Simon knows a few commands, including "Sit," "Shake," and "Kennel." He has had no accidents in the house and will whine or bark in his crate when he needs to go outside. Though he may talk back a bit when first crated, he quickly relaxes and goes to sleep. Simon loves food, toys, and attention from his people. He enjoys wrestling and playing with other dogs, making him a fun and lively companion. He is good with other dogs who will accept his roughhousing play style, polite to cats, and although he hasn't met any kids yet, we think he would be fine with them. Simon walks okay on a leash and does not get car sick, making him a great companion for walks and car rides. His only quirk is his love for giving people full-body hugs, which not everyone will appreciate, but it's all part of his loving nature. Simon would thrive in a home with a family who can match his energy level and provide plenty of playtime and attention. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and silly companion, Simon is the perfect addition to your family!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. December 9, 2024, 10:12 am

Story
Duke and Duchess are 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 years old, respectively. Duke is the Great Pyrenees and Golden Retriever and Duchess is Great Pyrenees and Collie. Duke is large and Duchess is medium. They have been together for 4 years and love each other very much. They are both sweet and loving. We had two cats that they got along with, but the cats have since passed. The reasons we are rehoming are Duchess now chasing our chickens, my husband's asthma getting worse and so hard to have the dogs in the house, and busy schedule. We would love to keep them together.
