Chandler is a 7-month-old pyrenes mix female. She is very sweet. She is a busy body she loves to have toys to play with. She really enjoys the company of other dogs. She has a very sweet laid back demeanor. She is very loving and extremely playful. She walks well on a leash and loves everyone she meets. She will need some training. She has a very unique bark. Samson appeared at our home on the Sunday after Christmas. He was malnourished and had Lime Disease, Ehrilichiosis, and possibly heart worm. The vet said it may have been a false positive for heart worm because he had the other two diseases. She recommended the slow kill method because his heart sounded strong and she examined his blood under the microscope and didn’t see anything that truly indicated an infection. He completed a 30 day round of Doxycycline and is now on a monthly preventative called SympaciaTRIO. He will go back to the vet at the end of the month to retest, but this method should keep him healthy. He has now gained a little weight. He is a good dog, just too big for us. He has never been aggressive with anything, human or other. He walks well on a leash, and loves to be indoor or outside. We feel it would be best if he was with a family that has a large fenced in yard or a larger home. We microchipped him and have loved him and nursed him back to health.

We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve. Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable. Adopting a friend:The animals, lucky enough to find refuge with Almost Home, are all in loving foster homes. If you are interested in the possibility of giving one of the animals a new lease on life, please contact us. The contact information is listed at the end of each biography. What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes. *Due to rescuer being very ill, all her dogs are in desperate need!!! Greetings! I'm Fluffy! My best friend, Poe, and I were allowed to wander the streets. Our owner just didn't care. I was pregnant at the time. Our rescuer begged for me to be able to come into rescue. So, our owner dumped me and unexpectedly and luckily dumped Poe too! I am a very pretty girl that is about three to four years old. I am mostly fluff and I weigh around eighty pounds.We are the friendliest duo and are exceptionally loving! We adore people and other doggies. We do love children but I can get excitable, so small children may get overwhelmed. We are true buddies. You will always find us hanging out together. We enjoy adventures and would follow you to the ends of the earth. All you have to do is make us yours! The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. We do reserve the right to change the fees higher or lower due to the circumstance of the animal but what was stated above are the usual adoption fees. Microchipped pets will have a higher adoption fee. Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of the vetting and care the animal has received with us and if it ever does, the money just goes back it to helping other animals in need.
