Story
**It is strongly encouraged to research the Great Pyrenees breed prior to considering one for adoption. While they are wonderful dogs, they are not for everyone. SOCIAL MEDIA HASHTAG:  #libbylou AGE: 5.5yrs (Apr 2023)WEIGHT:  106.4lbsWORKING LGD:  NO - family pet only DOGS:  Good: Can be bossy at timesDOG RESTRICTIONS:  Can be temperamental with pushy dogs CATS:  UnknownCHILDREN:  GoodOTHER ANIMALS (birds, farm animals, etc): Unknown FENCED YARD REQUIRED:  Yes GOOD OFF LEASH:  NO!! ROAMER/RUNNER GROOMING/SHEDDING NEEDS:  HighMEDICAL ISSUES:  None MEDICATIONS:  Anxiety meds SPECIAL NEEDS:  Somewhat - Libby is severely afraid of beeping sounds due to previously wearing a shock collar prior to rescue. She is on medication so that she will not harm herself or escape. She is also a fence climber/jumper and can scale a 6ft fence. Will forever have to be leash walked only. ANXIETY:  Yes - due to her severe fear of beeps. Also has storm anxiety.BARKING:  High EXPERIENCED OWNER NEEDED:  Yes CRATE TRAINED:  Yes HOUSE TRAINED:  Yes GOOD IN CAR:  Yes FUN FACTS:  Libby is a delightful character and shows great affection for everyone. She enjoys snuggling, loves to give hugs, and she is extremely gentle and kind...outside of her Pyr Paw, which is very strong when she opts to use it. She does well with dogs but can sometimes be dominant and overly bossy, so she'll need someone experienced in handling interactions between dogs, as well as understand it may be a little more prominant in the beginning. She is well behaved and loves to go on walks. Lizzy has a very big bark and while she isn't excessive, it's LOUD, so being mindful of close neighbors is important. **PLEASE READ FOLLOWING INFORMATION IMPORTANT:  Libby will forever have to be leash walked and NEVER allowed off leash for any outdoor time, even potty breaks, even in a fenced yard. She will bolt and climb/clear a 6ft fence without hesitation. She enjoys going on walks and is great on a leash, so someone who likes to take a few daily walks would be ideal (NOTE that Libby is NOT a jogger or long distance runner). She is a big girl, though, so her adopter needs to be comfortable holding her on a leash. Libby is well behaved indoors, but will require a giant crate when someone isn't home to protect her in case she becomes afraid of a sound or storm. We feel she would enjoy the company of another dog but it is not required. She will require patience during the transition, however. Libby is a LOVELY girl with a tremendous heart who is adored by everyone she meets. She is charming, affectionate, kind and all around wonderful...but she does require someone who will understand her needs. ##1239538##

Story
Murphy is the sweetest big baby ever. He is 5 years old & is completely housebroken. Inside home only! He goes out side to potty and run in our fenced back yard but after about 10-15 min he is pawing at the door to come back inside. We have him shaved in the summer but long hair in the wintertime. Since he stays indoors he could be shaved year round if that is your preference. Due to the fact that he sheds I am looking for a safe and loving home for him because I have asthma and allergies. He did not use to bother me but now he does. If he liked being outside I would not rehome him but he is happiest in the house with the people he loves. He is good with our other dog (non shedding) but I do not know about cats as I am allergic to those as well. He has never been altered. He has had a couple seizures in the past so will need to see the vet about that once you adopt him. This is why I have not listed any fees for adoption. We will only accept the right home for him.

Story
*AVAILABLE AFTER MARCH 6TH, 2025* Meet Bitsy!  Hi, I’m Bitsy! I’m a sweet Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix, and I’m looking for my furever family. My start in life wasn’t easy, so at first, I wasn’t sure how to accept all the love people were offering. But guess what? I’m learning to trust, and I’m starting to realize just how wonderful love can be! I’m a bit shy at first, but once I get comfortable, I promise I’ll show you just how playful, protective, and loyal I can be. I love kids — they make me feel safe and happy! I also really, really love food (especially cheese!) I might be big, but don’t be fooled—I *still* think I should sit in your lap whenever I can. And yes, I’m that girl who acts like she needs to be carried to the car. It’s just a little stubborn Pyrenees thing, I guess!  I'm ready to give my heart to a family who’ll love me for who I am. I promise I’ll show you how much love I have to share! If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and loyal companion (who might insist on sitting in your lap), I just might be the girl you’ve been waiting for.   She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Bitsy is currently being fostered in South Carolina.   ADOPT BITSY!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $300.00 and we require a vet check and home visit. March 2, 2025, 9:31 am

Story
Belle is a bundle of love and affection. She absolutely loves her humans and loves to please. She has the double coat of the Great Pyrenees and the height of a blue heeler. Belle was given to me as a SD and she does well on a leash. She also knows when her vest is on, she’s working and when she’s in a familiar area, she doesn’t need to be on a leash as well. Before coming here, she was an outside dog, but enjoys being inside more. Belle has been around children of all ages as well as cats and other dogs. As much as it’s really bothering me to rehome her, this was on a trial basis and she’s not wanted back with the person who gave her to me. Unfortunately, she’s not getting along with our younger dogs. Belle would never nor has she ever hurt another animal. I feel she would do best as either an only dog or as a companion for another adult dog. If you have any questions, please reach out and ask.
