Story
“Meet Jaxon! This 3 year old Great Pyrenees, is large, in charge, and ready to rule your roost/couch! Jaxon can organize a toy mess in under 30 seconds and he can return a ball to you even faster. His favorite activities are making sure his people and home are safe, picking up litter on walks so you can discard it (cares about his environment!), and babysitting tennis balls. What he lacks in small-ness he makes up for in the puppy playfulness. He’s crate-trained, good on a leash with harness, and mostly house-trained (so close!). His foster home includes both cats and dogs and he prefers his kitty friends. Interested adopters should expect a couple rounds of dog-testing with any existing dogs (low energy females preferred) and some warm-up time with men.” Age: 3 years old approx Weight: approx 65 lbs Temperament: Gets along with adults, kids, dogs Training: house trained. Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative For questions about Jaxon, please email. chelseacna@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself

Story
Hi! My name is Yuki. I am a Great Pyrenees with good manners!! I am looking for my forever home so here's a few things about me! I am good on a leash and love to receive love as well as give it. I'm a goofy boy that loves to play but also likes to get all the pets. I am great with dogs, kids and cats so I can be the perfect addition to your family! I absolutely ADORE getting a bath and blow out. Fun fact about me is that I also give hugs! I unfortunately suffer from having seizures but my medicine helps and it doesn't stop me from having fun!!! If you are interested in adopting Yuki please fill out an application on our website. He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Remi is a 4.9-year-old, 60 lb super mutt who has sadly lost the only home she’s ever known. She’s a mix of many breeds and is full of love and loyalty. Remi adores people, including kids, and plays well with dogs her size or larger, but small dogs aren’t a good fit for her. She’s obedient, eager to please, and affectionate, making her a wonderful companion. Remi is also house trained and ready to find her forever family. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving dog to join your home, Remi is waiting! Apply at EHRDOGS.ORG. November 15, 2024, 10:19 am

Story
Elf is a happy-go-lucky Great Pyrenees mix with the heart of a playful puppy and the size of a gentle giant. He is about 1.5 years old and 75lbs, although he could afford to pack on a few more pounds. If you’re looking for a big, lovable companion who still has a fun and youthful energy, Elf is your guy! This oversized pup would thrive in an active household where he can join in on adventures and playtime. Elf is great with people and other dogs, but he’s not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home would be best for him. Elf is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He’s all set to find his forever family! Apply today at EHRDOGS.ORG to bring this gentle giant into your life.December 29, 2024, 1:46 pm

Story
Ms. Lady is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees mix who is super sweet, friendly with people and dogs and who would probably would be fine with cats because of her easy-going disposition. She is crate trained and housetrained but could use more leash training - she is rarely leashed as she has a big beautiful backyard to run around in her foster home in Texas! She is very low maintenance, low to medium energy,  and is in a foster home with 30 other dogs - she had that easy going, typical Pyr personality. Lady is about 4 years old and weighs 68 pounds. She is already fully vetted and she's healthy, heartworm negative, has no tick borne diseases and is on monthly preventatives, etc.   Lady is just happy to be in a home where someone is treating her well and she does not have to worry about where her next meal is coming from. She came into a Texas shelter with another Pyr mix (possibly her brother) - both were owner surrendered because the owners were letting them run loose and they did not want to pay the fine. The brother went to a local Austin rescue and Lady is now with NorthStar. If you've always wanted to have a Great Pyrenees in your family, just fill out an application at www.northstarpets.org and ask to meet this sweet and gentle gal! The adoption fee for Ms. Lady will be $425. December 12, 2024, 7:37 pm
