KENNEL ID #01658&#226&#128&#139 Marius’s gentle nature has endeared him to his rescuers. He is currently in doggy daycare and training with Steph at The Unique Pet Care in Elverson, patiently waiting for his forever home. Marius is a joy to have around, exhibiting strong guarding instincts and good behavior both in the car and on a leash. He would thrive with an active family and another large dog to play with. While he is particularly fond of women, he takes his time to warm up to men. Marius’s affectionate personality shines through as he gets to know you. This big teddy bear is ready to shower his new family with love and loyalty. If you’re looking for a faithful companion, Marius could be your perfect match.   Marius has come a long way. He absolutely loves his lady dog friends and would be suitable with respectful kids. Overall, Marius has proven to be an amazing dog who would enjoy running on a large property, going on hikes, and being active. He has transformed from being abandoned, starved, and unsocialized into a big love bug who wants to climb into your lap.   Thank you for your interest in rescue.  If you would like to be considered for  adoption please submit an application to adopt.  If you have any questions regarding the adoption process please  email:    dianespets1486@gmail.com  or call 610-970-7500 APPLICATIONS TO ADOPT : DOG   SMALL ANIMALS   BIRD REPTILE   FERRET October 28, 2024, 2:33 am

Story
Crosby is a gentle giant. He is a very kind, loving, and experessive dog. He is best known for two things, his extra extra large size, and his extra large smile. He is 155LBs, and very tall as well. He is a Great Pyrenese at heart, and true to his breed, he is a protector and will bark to let you know of people walking outside of his fence, dogs, walking, the mail man, etc. He is certainly a barker in that way, however not in general when hes inside (unless he'd really like that treat you're holding). Crosby will do best in a home with one person or a couple with teenage children or older. Crosby is extremely kind to kids of all ages, but is very large and can be a challenge to understand how to play with for little ones. He loves walks, and does great on the leash! He loves to play in the yard, and have a good bone once in a while. He does not get the time and attention that he needs and deserves and finding the right home for him is with his best interest at heart.

Story
Meet Chelsea! Breed: Great Pyrenees   Estimated DOB: 03/01/2023   Sex: Female - spayed   Weight: 45-50 lbs   Up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations GUARDIAN OR WORKING BREED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO ADOPT Things To Know About Chelsea: - Chelsea is a purebred Great Pyrenees, as confirmed by an Embark DNA test, and she embodies all the charming traits of her breed in a petite "pocket pyr" build.- In May 2023, at just 3 months old, Chelsea was heartlessly shoved under a fence at a Mississippi shelter before arriving at TLC. Despite her hardships, including a spinal malformation and congenital blindness in one eye, Chelsea's gentle demeanor never wavered. Her medical journey has been extensive, with numerous vet visits, tests, and a crucial surgery to improve her quality of life. Dr. Rosen, Chelsea's neurologist at VRC, emphasized that a radical stabilization surgery was essential for her to live a pain-free and happier life. Read all about Chelsea's story on our website: TLCrescuePA.com/BarkingBack.- Due to her previous spinal trauma and comprehensive surgery, Chelsea is incontinent but rocks her doggy diaper! She even gets excited to put it on because it means she gets to do something fun.- Chelsea's surgery surpassed expectations and has been incredibly successful. She now lives a pain-free life—running, jumping, and moving like a typical happy pup.- While sometimes aloof at first, Chelsea is an absolute sweetheart and loves everyone she meets, especially kids.- She has been attending school visits since she was 3 months old and is now a seasoned pro.- Her pyr-like goofiness brightens everyone’s day.- Low to medium energy.- She enjoys playful times with her toys and self-entertaining antics just as much as taking naps.- True to her breed, Chelsea loves being outdoors in any weather.- She enjoys going for walks, though she shows typical Pyrenees stubbornness at times.- While she is crate trained, Chelsea enjoys sleeping through the night in her cozy, gated space.- Dog-friendly, she loves playing with other dogs and lives happily with multiple canine companions.- Typical for Great Pyrenees, Chelsea is a bit bossy and can be protective of her food and toys from other animals. With people, however, she is a total softie!- Cat-friendly.- Did we mention she is even pig-friendly and loves to spend time with her pig siblings?- Chelsea is looking for a forever home that can provide the love, care, and understanding she deserves, ideally with someone experienced in managing her breed's needs. Meet Maru! *BREED OR GUARDIAN BREED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO ADOPT* Breed: Great Pyrenees   Estimated DOB: 01/21/2024   Sex: Male - neutered   Weight: 70-75 lbs   Currently up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations Things to Know About Maru: - Rescued from Mississippi, Maru is happy, relaxed, and shows no signs of stress or anxiety.- He loves meeting people and is great with visitors, neighbors, and kids, though he can get excited and sometimes greets with a flying jump spin. He’s working on calm greetings and redirects well with toys when mouthy.- Maru enjoys romping in the yard, playing with toys, and bringing them to his humans. He balances his high energy with sweet snuggles and affection, making him a lovable, goofy companion.- His tongue is often hanging out the side of his mouth, adding to his silly charm.- Maru is easygoing and not overly bothered by household noises like the vacuum. He occasionally barks playfully when running the perimeter of the yard.- He loves outdoor time and does well on a leash, meandering a bit but generally keeping pace without pulling.- Maru is learning “sit” and responds well to guidance with treats, gradually picking up verbal cues.- He sleeps in a 6x6 ft playpen with his bed, food, water, and toys, going in willingly and staying quiet through the night.- Fully housetrained with no accidents, Maru goes to the bathroom promptly when outside.- Dog-friendly: Maru loves playing with other dogs, greeting them with a play bow, and engaging in gentle play. He respects boundaries and is submissive during interactions.- Cat-friendly: He sniffs and walks away, showing no interest.- Maru would thrive in an active home with plenty of playtime, adventures, and a structured routine. He’d do well with kids, another playful dog, and a fenced yard or access to a dog park. He enjoys puzzle toys, snuffle mats, and activities that keep his mind engaged. Daily Routine: Maru enjoys multiple play sessions in the yard each day, sometimes with his foster siblings. He eats two meals a day (morning and evening) and sleeps in his playpen overnight without issues. After playing in the yard, he settles in for snuggles on the couch, balancing his energy with relaxation.  Learn more and apply to adopt at https://www.tlcrescuepa.com/adopt Join our 100% Foster-based team at https://www.tlcrescuepa.com/foster #AdoptMaru #GreatPyreneesPup #HappyBoy  ##2171695##

Story
Odin is a truly handsome, young, 88 pound, Great Pyr boy that was born 1/2/23 and is looking for a family to love and chill with.  This big boy is fully grown and is the so very easy going and good natured.  He was raised with his brother Thor on a country property owned by a senior lady who has come to realize that both the brothers need homes where they can be an inside dog and part of the family.  She cannot provide that and so is now willing to let each one go to separate families that might have children (he loves children) and to be a part of maybe even living with other dogs or cats.  He is good with everyone he meets and all creatures.  This boy is not housebroken as he has never been inside for any length of time to learn the rules and the signals for potty breaks.  He is a loving and easy dog to have around and we want him to become a part of a family life that offers him a big dog bed and lots of love and guidance.  He is good with meeting new people and doesn’t bark excessively at all.  He will bark if he is bored outside in a pen.  He plays nicely and is fun and happy.  If you are interested in this one year old handsome boy please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and let us know where you live:  city and state and let’s start a conversation about him possibly becoming a part of a special family lifestyle.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.           PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
Hi!! I'm Gloria, the sweetest female Bernese Mountain Dog. I was tied out at the local humane society by a farmer and left there and Zoe's House took me in because I wasn't doing good in a shelter environment. I'm about 110 pounds and they say I'm 8 years old but my foster mom says I seem younger! I'm loving my new foster home. I get along with all the other animals (cats, dogs and guinea pig too), but I require slow introductions at my own pace. Also dogs that understand clear boundaries. I would do great as an only dog! (No dog parks or face to face meets for me). My foster mom sometimes calls me a velcro dog cause I like to be by her side (especially at dinner time). I do take some time to trust as I wasn't treated very nicely for most of my life. When I first came to foster I would cry at human touch. I have not ventured into the second level of my foster home as I prefer to stay close to my crate. I am housebroken and understand rules well. I listen when my foster mom says no but I don't really break any rules except trying to steal food . I will happily go in my crate and I love to have that safe space but my foster mom says since I'm a good girl so I can go wherever I want in the house. I didn't grow up with any toys so I don't really understand what they are. My love language is treats and meal time! I even have a cute food dance. I'm a very low energy dog. My foster family has a fenced in yard so I like to walk around and explore when it's outside time but I usually go back to lay on the porch. I don't really require long walks. But I walk very well on a leash. I can't wait to meet my forever family!! My foster mom already says I'm going to be really really hard to say goodbye to because they love me so much. As I have come a long way in foster. - Gloria has a clean bill of health and is spayed and UTD on her vaccines. She also had a dental.
