Blue is a handsome young man, who spent his entire first year of his life living outside. He was surrendered to our rescue after he was set to be euthanized for killing chickens.  Blue is dog, cat and children friendly. He is a big goofball, who is friendly to everyone he meets - except chickens! Blue spends his days lounging with his foster siblings, running around outside exploring and snuggling his human siblings on the couch. He loves to eat and is food driven! He is currently being trained on and off-leash amongst his pack. Blue does have severe anxiety when being left alone for any period of time. He does have a history of counter surfing and chewing when he is by himself. Blue does NOT like his crate and is quite the Houdini. He will require an indestructible crate that is approved by the rescue prior to adoption. Great Pyrs require a steady grooming approximately every other month. If you are looking to adopt Blue, please make sure you understand about his fur and grooming needs.  Blue will require a big yard and a fence, as well as continued training.  He is completely up to date on his vaccines, heartworm negative, and altered. He is microchipped as well.  If you'd like to apply for Blue, please do so at www.castawaycritters.org/adopt.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 1, 2025, 10:06 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please say hello to Beth! Beth is a Bernese Mountain Dog/ Husky Mix. She was born December 7, 2018. Prior to coming into rescue she lived her life in a small kennel inside of a barn, breeding puppies over and over. She had no name, they called her 'Dog.' Beth is learning a whole new life outside of the farm. She is playful but will need time to open up. She is scared of new things and has only lived in a barn stall her whole life. She loves being outside so will require a fenced in yard and a home with older children. Beth loves playing with other dogs so a home with another dog would be fine. But she can be an only dog. She loves playing with stuffies and will lay with them. She has never lived in a home so it will all be new. She will need patience from adopter so she can trust them. Beth will be a committed companion. Once Beth is comfortable she is good with anyone. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you would like to to welcome sweet Beth into your family, please apply at www.onedogatatime.us When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter.. This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a 'first come first served' basis. Applications are found on our website www.onedogatatime.us.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 9:50 pm
