You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Blue, the rescues first ever full bred Great Pyr! Blue is a handsome young man, who spent his entire first year of his life living outside. He was surrendered to our rescue after he was set to be euthanized for killing chickens.  Blue is dog, cat and children friendly. He is a big goofball, who is friendly to everyone he meets - except chickens! Blue spends his days lounging with his foster siblings, running around outside exploring and snuggling his human siblings on the couch. He loves to eat and is food driven! He is currently being trained on and off-leash amongst his pack. Blue does have severe anxiety when being left alone for any period of time. He does have a history of counter surfing and chewing when he is by himself. Blue does NOT like his crate and is quite the Houdini. He will require an indestructible crate that is approved by the rescue prior to adoption. Great Pyrs require a steady grooming approximately every other month. If you are looking to adopt Blue, please make sure you understand about his fur and grooming needs.  Blue will require a big yard and a fence, as well as continued training.  He is completely up to date on his vaccines, heartworm negative, and altered. Meet Tyberious! This handsome pup came to us in November 2023 and is looking for a patient home that will continue teaching him that the world and new people are not so scary! There is reason to believe that Tyberious was not treated the kindest in his previous home and will need to go into a home where only positive reinforcement training is used and where the people in his home can provide a structured environment for him to continue building his confidence. In his time with us, Tyberious has been very neutral and curious about other animals. He pays no mind to the other dogs in the kennel and has been friendly with with the office cats he has met! He is a very smart and food-motivated dog and has made a lot of progress even with his basic training since coming to us. Ty currently knows 'sit' ,'down', 'off' and is working on 'leave it' and his leash manners. There is nothing he is not willing to work on as long as he is given a treat in return! Tyberious is an extremely goofy pup once he gets comfortable with you! He is an absolute cuddle bug once he has bonded with you and wants nothing more than to snuggle He is always ready to play a game of tug whether he is lounging around with you inside or hanging around outside. Tyberious loves exploring the outdoors and going on car rides as long as he has someone there to reassure him that everything is fine. He gravitates more toward the women he has met but with patience (and treats!) does warm up to men as long as he is provided the time to get to know them. Once he has all that puppy energy out, Tyberious settles well and enjoys having a chew or Kong to entertain himself with. Squeaky toys and stuffed toys are his absolute favorite to play with and he will keep himself endlessly entertained by tossing them around or playing fetch. All this big boy wants to do is find a home where he can grow into the wonderful dog staff knows him to be! They will be gentle giants and great companions. While their mother weighed 30- 35#, we expect them to get between 45 and 60 lbs. The girls being a little smaller than the boys.
