Story
Meet Mufasa! 🦴 He is a 1 year old Great Pyrenees/Lab/Husky mix, about 60lbs 🦴He is a playful boy full of energy! He knows some basic commands and is potty trained. Does well with kids, cats and other dogs! 🦴Mufasa would do best in a home with lots of interaction and space for him to run and/or active owners who will take him on adventures! 🦴 He does need a visit to the vet to be neutered and to get up to date on his shots but is otherwise very healthy and loveable! Kane’s Mission will pay for all vetting & supplies prior to adoption becoming official.

Story
Beary has struggled with food aggression around other dogs. As we have another dog and a baby in the house, we can’t keep him. We found a home on a farm for him with two other Great Pyrenees and the problems continued. They just called me and stated that we need to pick him up because he is getting into fights with the other male over food. He is such a loving boy but we can’t help him and need immediate placement asap.

Story
??Name: Zuri ?? Age: 6 -7 years ?? Weight: 60 lbs (and gaining) ?? Likes: being with people, getting scratches, walks, food, playing ? Dislikes: Storms, vacuum, loud voices, yelling. New situations make her nervous. ?? Personality/ Temperament : sweet, easy going , she does have some anxiety. ?? Energy Level : Average she is up for a walk or playing but a nap also suits her. ?? Favorite Activities: Napping on couch next to you, playing with other dogs/toys, taking a walk and smelling stuff. ? Eating Schedule : she eats 3 meals a day. Very limited ingredients, no preservatives. She HAS to stay on this type food, with her special treats as well. ?? Good with cats ,dogs and kids over 6?  She is good with cats and dogs. She plays with fosters dog every day. She has not really been around kids while in my care maybe 1 or 2 brief encounters and she was fine, but older kids preferred as she can be nervous. She can be a little nippy with treats (after all she wasn't being fed). ?? House Trained :  Yes, but if she eats something she shouldn't an accident is sure to come. ?? Signals to go out: yes she does . She will come stare at you or nudge you and then bark if you don't move . Or if you are in another room she will bark. Don't ignore her signals. ? Challenges: She can only have a VERY limited clean diet so making sure she doesn't get anything she shouldn't have (example other pet foods). She is tall enough to reach the counter (which is not something she does normally, but she can) so you have to be careful not to leave anything that would really tempt her (like pizza... she LOVES it). ? Medical Issues: She has IBD and an allergy to preservatives. She also has some anxiety, and takes daily meds for that, as well as a probiotic. ?? The Best Home: The Best Home for Zuri would be one where everyone is on board to make sure she does not eat anything but her approved diet. She would love to have a dog friend to play with. Would probably be better in a home without small children because of how strict her diet has to be.  Her food is more costly than regular dog food, so you must be financially able to provide it ongoing. Her treats are also more costly, she can't have regular dog treats. She occasionally will have flare ups with the IBD and you have to be on board to clean up messes if they occur....she tries really hard not to have them. Our adoption process starts with our application. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1.5 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you. If at any time you need to rehome the dog it contractually needs to be returned to Legacy Dog Rescue. ADOPTION FEE's: Puppies under 6 months:  $199.00 Adults:  $150.00 Seniors (over 7 yrs):  $99.00 If you are interested in one of our dogs please fill out an application: https://form.jotform.com/193425528783165
