Story
Archie is a wonderful loving and super friendly companion! All he wants is to be with his people! We take him on walks downtown and to restaurants with outdoor seating and he is super well behaved and everyone who meets him loves him! He’s still a puppy at only 2 years old. He gets along with other pets very well. We don’t want to rehome our little buddy but due to our schedules, we aren’t home enough to give him the attention he deserves. Whoever adopts him should consider themselves blessed! We just want him to go to a wonderful loving home that will treat him like family.

Story
RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Story
Winnifred, is half great pyrenees / half Rottweiler- We think- She's for sure all goofy dog lol. Winnie loves food & will trick if there are treats! I'm hoping a single, fit / good health, middle aged / older lady like myself who wouldn't mind a loving 70 pounds cutie to entertain her with fetch, tricks, & playful curiosity! We always have a gentle lead on since she's so strong & she amazingly calm with one on- She is not a fan for whatever reason of men of all sizes especially in hats. We have never had a man in the home & prefers women. The few children interactions had been great. Great at dog parks & kennels. The dogs have traveled a lot & when you're in a hotel high rise & the next green patch is 7 blocks away in the am, they are troopers & adapt easy!Or if your'e waiting the rain out- Winnie is a fan of snow- not rain- She's in great health enjoys cuddles! My dream is her dog friend Cosmo in the pic can stay together

Story
Willow Breed: Great Pyrenees Female Age: 3-4 Years Weighs 78.5 pounds I am a very loving girl!! I love to chase squirrels and birds, I will play fetch with you but may change my mind on giving you back the item you threw. I am very soft and my humans love to give me hugs and kisses. I get very nervous when I hear the IRobot start and will bark at it. I do not like fireworks and will try to run inside and hide, I love my foster brothers (both are golden retrievers) I am protective of my 4 year old human sister and am very curious of my 1 year old human sister. I am house trained and also crate trained. I will let you know if I need to go outside by slightly barking I am unsure if I like female dogs but I know for sure I do not like cats. I will eat treats very gently out of your hands. Oh!!! Did I mention I know how to sit when asked to??

Story
Meet Blizzard, a handsome 2.5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a heart of gold! Weighing in at 53 lbs, Blizzard made his unexpected entrance onto a ranch after New Year's—likely spooked by the fireworks. Despite our best efforts to locate his previous family, fate has brought him to us, and he’s now ready to be the best boy for a new home. Neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventions, Blizzard is all set for his next chapter. Initially reserved, he has come out of his shell with the loving care of his foster mom and the friendly influence of her other dogs. Today, Blizzard is incredibly sweet and playful. He travels great in the car, walks well on a leash, and appears to be kennel trained—with only the occasional accident when he hasn’t had enough time outside. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will brighten your days, Blizzard is your guy. Don’t miss the opportunity to welcome this charming gentleman into your family—adopt Blizzard today! $200 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)
