These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. **Puppy Adoption Policy: To ensure proper house training and socialization, puppies will only be adopted to homes where an adult will not be away more than an hour per day, per month of age of the puppy, up to 6 months. Adopters will be required to enroll the puppy into training and provide proof to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue within 6 months of adopting.  Certain large-breed dogs should not be sterilized before 12 - 18 months of age. If you adopt an intact puppy, you will sign an adoption contract agreeing to have the dog sterilized at your expense at the time your veterinarian recommends. Proof of sterilization must be provided to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue as soon as the procedure is completed. If the puppy is not sterilized as required, Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to claim legal ownership of the dog.  Important notes before applying. Adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina. We will not adopt giant breed dogs to renters. Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Homes with intact dogs will not be approved for adoption.  Proof of any of the following exceptions is required: The intact dog is a working member of a law enforcement, or search and rescue/recovery team. Mojo is a 3-year-old, 52-pound Golden Pyrenees with a heart as soft as his coat and a personality that’s finally starting to shine. He came to rescue a little underweight and down on his luck, but thanks to his foster home, good groceries, and doggie siblings showing him the ropes, Mojo is well on his way to being a happy, healthy, well-adjusted boy — and it looks very good on him. Mojo is friendly, affectionate, and loves other dogs. He’s learning all about sibling sharing, playtime, and how fun it is to just be a dog. Toys are a favorite, tail wags are frequent, and his confidence grows more every day. Meet Hazel ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX, and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is found. Looking for a goofy, sweet ball of floof? Then Hazel is your girl! This adorable puppy LOVES other dogs, toys and food. She is crate and potty trained and has done well around the older kids she’s met. Because she wants ALL of the toys, older kids may be a better fit in her new home. Hazel would love an active family to help her burn off her puppy energy and to help her with basic manners and training. She’ll entertain you with her antics and house parkour and will make sure dinner is always right on time! We are quite the pair, cute and big and lumbering around the rescue ;) We r not a bonded pair, but you could get quite alot of fun and hair with two of us... well even if you only adopt one of us.
