Story
“Meet Jaxon! This 3 year old Great Pyrenees, is large, in charge, and ready to rule your roost/couch! Jaxon can organize a toy mess in under 30 seconds and he can return a ball to you even faster. His favorite activities are making sure his people and home are safe, picking up litter on walks so you can discard it (cares about his environment!), and babysitting tennis balls. What he lacks in small-ness he makes up for in the puppy playfulness. He’s crate-trained, good on a leash with harness, and mostly house-trained (so close!). His foster home includes both cats and dogs and he prefers his kitty friends. Interested adopters should expect a couple rounds of dog-testing with any existing dogs (low energy females preferred) and some warm-up time with men.” Age: 3 years old approx Weight: approx 65 lbs Temperament: Gets along with adults, kids, dogs Training: house trained. Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative For questions about Jaxon, please email. chelseacna@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself

Hi! My name is Yuki. I am a Great Pyrenees with good manners!! I am looking for my forever home so here's a few things about me! I am good on a leash and love to receive love as well as give it. I'm a goofy boy that loves to play but also likes to get all the pets. I am great with dogs, kids and cats so I can be the perfect addition to your family! I absolutely ADORE getting a bath and blow out. Fun fact about me is that I also give hugs! I unfortunately suffer from having seizures but my medicine helps and it doesn't stop me from having fun!!! If you are interested in adopting Yuki please fill out an application on our website. He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Story
Let it Snow, let it Snow, let it Snow! ❄️ Meet Snow, the beautiful Great Pyrenees girl with the sweetest face. Snow is 2 years old and weighs 62 pounds. She already has the perfect winter coat and is ready to spend all the coldest days keeping you warm. Snow was rescued from Marion County, South Carolina and is ready for her second chance at a happily ever after with a loving forever family. Snow is a quiet and loving girl. Her foster mom has lots to say about her: "While Snow was a little shy at first but in days she was following me around the yard, chasing tennis balls, and nudging me for pets. She's slept through the night on a dog bed in my room from day one. Snow is house and crate trained with 0 accidents in the house. She enjoys walks & walks nicely on leash, won't jump on on people, and has never barked. She is the quietest dog I've ever fostered! She likes some bones & soft toys (her favorites are the crinkly ones) and will happily chase a tennis ball but not necessarily bring it back. Snow gets the wildest zoomies when outside and truly loves the cold weather (even prefers to lay on the cool tile rather than the comfy dog beds or couches!). She does well for brushing but she will also show her appreciation by rolling in the grass. Snow did amazing with my niece & nephew too! Whoever adopts Snow is a lucky family!" Snow would do great in a home with other pets and kids who will play with her and be her constant companion. She is so excited to find a loving home & is hoping it will be soon. Snow is ready for adoption on 1/3/25. Visit our site today to being your adoption application for Snow! Snow is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. Given the conditions Snow originated from, upon rescue, she tested positive for Heartworm disease. Thanks to Home for Good Dog Rescue, Snow has completed her Heartworm treatment. *Heartworm disease is a serious and if left untreated, fatal disease. It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of affected animals, causing severe lung disease, heart failure, and damage to other organs in the body. Mosquitoes are carriers of heartworms and have the ability to infect dogs all year round, especially in the Southeastern portion of the United States and during the summer months.* **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org**   HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Elf is a happy-go-lucky Great Pyrenees mix with the heart of a playful puppy and the size of a gentle giant. He is about 1.5 years old and 75lbs, although he could afford to pack on a few more pounds. If you’re looking for a big, lovable companion who still has a fun and youthful energy, Elf is your guy! This oversized pup would thrive in an active household where he can join in on adventures and playtime. Elf is great with people and other dogs, but he’s not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home would be best for him. Elf is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He’s all set to find his forever family! Apply today at EHRDOGS.ORG to bring this gentle giant into your life.December 29, 2024, 1:46 pm
