Story
Opie is 4 years old. He is a pyrenees so he is a little hesitant with new people at first, he does bark..loudly, but as soon as he warms up to someone (usually pretty quickly) he'll be their best friend. He is a big lovable goof ball. Hes's been my best friend for 4 years. He does have allergies we haven't dialed in but he takes Apoquel daily and it works pretty well.Ive tested all the hypoallergenic foods and they dont solve the problem, the open farm works fine. He can really be the best dog for the right person. It kills me to re home him but I know someone else out there can give him the life I want for him.

Story
Mabel and Finn 1 1/2 year old great pyrenes looking for a new home. Mabel and Finn family are moving and they will not have the space for these two to roam around on. Finn (Bandit) is a sweet lovable dog who loves to be groomed. He loves being outside  He is timid in the dog park and seems more relaxed with one on one interaction.  he would be happiest on a farm or a large property Mabel (Bella) is the alpha of the two. She is very sweet and affectionate. She loves going on long walks and will cuddle with whomever is willing. She enjoys the outdoors and playing with other dogs. She also is very sensitive and can be an escape artist.  It takes her some time to acclimate to new surroundings. I think she also would be best on a farm or large property bc of her breed   She does require a high secure fence. Both dogs are good with kids of all ages. They are not food aggressive but will growl if another dog (not human) tries to take their food. If you have a large property or are an extremly active family, please fill out an application at rescueridge.com An application is a must. Story
PENNSYLVANIA: Everyone wants to add more love and joy to their lives – well, we found the missing LINC-oln for that! Young Lincoln is a happy, good-looking pup who enjoys all kinds of activities, but what makes him happiest is being by your side! His foster says: “Lincoln is one factastic boy! He is super sweet and loves every moment of every day!” Lincoln is only about 2 years old and weighs an elegant 80 lbs, with his best days ahead of him! Sadly, he was found tied to the fence of a NYC public shelter, but even then Lincoln maintained his “pawsitive vibe” energy and has since been patiently waiting for his furever home. Lincoln is a loyal friend who will love his future family not only unconditionally, but also passionately with his zest for life! Lincoln does have a higher energy level, but he is easily entertained and could run after a simple ball all day. An active home with daily exercise or a fenced in yard would be best for this handsome boy. Lincoln loves car rides, other dogs, hiking, and swimming! No matter what breed he is, Lincoln sure is easy on the eyes; we speculate he may have some Anatolian Shepherd or Great Pyrenees in him – but with such a love for the water, you would think he is part fish! Lincoln is available for adoption and comes neutered, house-trained, up to date on shots, and micro chipped. Lincoln gets along and has been living with other dog(s) and does OK around kids. Lincoln bonds very deeply with his people and because of his eagerness to please, he was a star student in obedience training. He has learned so much with his foster and he is now ready for his furever family. Lincoln wants to do anything to make his person/people happy; he truly has so much love to give. Can Lincoln give that love to you? To meet this one-of-a-kind guy, apply to adopt Lincoln at AmsterDog.org or contact 917-689-8414 (texts ok) for more information. Lincoln is waiting for you! Thanks for caring about a pet in need!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Baylor (AL) is possibly a male Great Pyrenees mix estimated to be 16 weeks old at the time of intake in July 2024. Baylor is up to date on core vaccinations (age-appropriate) and is microchipped and neutered.  Baylor is good with people and other dogs.  Baylor's stunning good looks and gorgeous eyes will turn your heart to mush!   Baylor is a doofy, fun, playful, happy boy who thinks the world is his playspace. He has no idea that he's homeless or came close to losing his life in a shelter. He's just looking for love in a forever family. Baylor is a very good boy. He's super smart, eager to please, and very treat motivated - a great combo for easy training.  He's crate trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. He knows sit, paw, spin, touch, and he's learning to walk on leash. He's also learning that "jumping will get you nowhere.". Baylor would likely be happier living life in the suburbs rather than the big city. He's interested in meeting new people, and he is quite a charmer. He can be a bit nervous meeting new dogs, especially if they run up on him, so his Person will need to learn his body language and create space for him when he is scared.Baylor would be happy in a home with or without other dogs. If he's in a home with other dogs, ideally there would at least be one confident dog to help show him the ropes. He's a pretty typical adolescent pup, he pushes boundaries wherever he finds opportunities This can be managed by limiting access to opportunities through a structured environment. He'd thrive in a quiet-ish but active home, and would be great with older kids and/or dog savvy kids (he easily gets overwhelmed if there's a lot of chaos). He is more comfortable eating in his crate so he can feel safe, but this may not be necessary once he settles in and gains confidence. If you would like this super cute boy to take his place in your family,  please apply online to adopt Baylor (AL) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. His adoption fee is $575.  Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 8, 2024, 10:48 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Alex (GA) is a male Great Pyrenees mix rescued in Georgia, estimated to be 7 months old in October 2021 and likely to be 85-95 pounds when full-grown. His foster mom says he is a 'giant, crazy and insanely happy puppy!' All people are his friends (he especially loves men!), he loves other dogs, and even likes cats.  Alex will do best in a suburban home with a fenced yard and an energetic doggy companion on the larger side who wants to play much of the day. He loves to eat as much as he loves to play. If there are children in the home, they should be on the older side: Alex really doesn't know how big he is!  He's working on his chewing, mouthing, leash and meal-time manners - the usual puppy behaviors which will benefit from continued and consistent training in his adoptive home as he grows into adulthood. True to his breed, he can be stubborn, he is very smart and his big personality matches his size. He has a true zest for life, so he's a fun, interesting and busy guy!  Alex has been neutered and microchipped, and will be up to date on core vaccines (age appropriate) at time of adoption. If you would like to take Alex home, please apply online to adopt Alex (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 10:34 am
