Bean is four years old, weighs 136 pounds, and has been with us since March 2023, when our daughter began serving in the Navy. Bean is very loyal, loves going for walks, and lounging in the back yard. He loves snuggles and tummy rubs - really any kind of affection will do. He is not a big chewer, unless it's a bone or food. He is very much house broken. Bean is a celebrity in our neighborhood. We are often stopped by neighbors who ask what kind of dog he is, and they always comment how beautiful he is. He loves to visit with people in our neighborhood - both children and adults - and is very friendly. Bean is not kennel trained. He does tend to bark when visitors approach or enter the house, but is not aggressive. He prefers not to be alone too much, so a home that has people around most of the time is best.

Peppy is a sweet sweet girl. She was born February 17, 2018. Her mom is full blooded Great Pyrenees. Her father is unknown. She loves to be loved on and given treats. She sits and can perform other tricks. She completed two weeks of Off The Leash Dog School in March of this year. She has high anxiety and is scared of loud noises. I have had to recently move to the city, and she does not like the constant street noises.

Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Snow is a pretty typical name for a white dog.... but for me it is like a sweet cool breeze! Because I HAVE a NAME and LOVE to go with it!! You see, I was living in a home that didn't want me up until I arrived at the rescue several weeks ago. So, I didn't get a nice name, or a bed or love and hardly any food :( I am still shy at first but my life has changed so so much that I can't help but love everyone now :) I especially love other dogs and would be best in a home with another loving, confident dog. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! This precious girl Cassie is up for adoption after almost being a foster fail. She is the BEST and most SWEETEST puppy there is. If I didn’t have 5 dogs of my own and adopting her would end my fostering career she would be ours in a second. She is potty trained, kennel trained, knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, loves kids, loves cats and I could go on and on. She is 6 months old and over 50 pounds. She will be a big girl full grown. 100+ pounds. The vet and I guess she is Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees. She protects her yard and is a great watch dog. She does have a sensitive stomach so she eats food for sensitive digestive tracks. She also gets car sick but has been doing better on small trips with good planning.
