Story
Meet Athena, our lovable Pyrenees mix with a heart full of sweetness and a few quirky traits! She’s a bit on the timid side, preferring to quietly observe the world rather than dive right in. While she’s got an adventurous streak, especially when it comes to snow (she loves eating it!), she’s definitely not an outdoor dog—she’s all about the cozy comforts of being a beloved indoor companion. Her instincts might say “chase” when it comes to chickens, and she might have some tension with cats (they’re just not her thing!), but with the right training and patience, she’s sure to thrive in a calm, structured home. What Athena truly wants is to be a pampered pet, loved and doted on, with no job to do—just a cozy spot to call her own and lots of belly rubs. If you're looking for a sweet, low-maintenance, and snow-loving companion, Athena might just be the one for you

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Laa Laa (we call her Grace) is a delightful puppy.  She is 33# of energy but will grow to be a BIG dog.  Her mix of Great Pyrenes and Mastiff will take care of that.  Grace’s coat is thick and dense like a pyrenes but has a light buff color from the mastiff.   There are a couple of white tips on her toes. Back to the delightful puppy part.  Grace loves to play with anything that crinkles or crackles.  That means water bottles, newspapers and paper grocery bags are some of her favorite toys.  She will also play with squeaky puppy toys (those adult teeth are starting to come in).  Speaking of puppy toys because of her age things like stuffed animals, slippers and shoes are also big hits on her chew list.   Her playmate here is our great Dane.  These two will run up and down the hall, play keep away, tug of war and steal toys from each other.  If things get too rowdy a squirt from the spray bottle lowers the activity. Grace lives with 3 large adult resident dogs.  These dogs are helping her learn how to be a dog.  She goes outside with them for potty breaks.  She is now about 70% housetrained.  Grace does not go to the door to request to go outside, so accidents do happen.  With a set regular schedule she can be close to 100%. We kennel Grace in a puppy pen when we are not at home, with a small treat she walks right in.  At night she sleeps on a dog bed in our bedroom. All of our dogs are allowed on the couch, Grace is no exception.  After a hard day of running around she loves to snuggle on the couch and watch TV. Does Grace sound like a puppy you would like to add to your home?  Complete an application and we will connect with you to tell you more about her.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
Marco is a gorgeous, young Great Pyrenees mix. Marco was pretty neglected his entire first year of life and roamed around with a pack of several other dogs in rural Kansas until the local Sheriff’s department stepped in and got the dogs into rescue. A few months later he made the journey to colder weather in Minnesota! He happily spends time outside in the snow and cold weather. He would love a home with some outdoor space to run. Marco has shown some strong guardian instincts and will need a patient and confident owner to help him learn and adapt. Marco is crate trained and potty trained. He will sleep fine in his crate at night, but he prefers to have free roam. He loves a good bone or antler to chew on. In his current foster home he lives with a dog, cat and small children. It took a few weeks to warm up, but now Marco loves playing with his dog brother. They wrestle inside and love running in the snow together outside. He walks pretty well on a leash, but could benefit from ongoing training as he can be a strong boy! Marco would love to have a home with a patient, calm and confident human who will give him time to open up and come out of his shell. He is learning quickly, but with his protective instincts he needs direction and reassurance from his human. With time and patience, he will be a wonderfully loyal dog! Adoption fee is $300+ tax; apply at www.campcompanion.org
