MEET YOGI:
Hello, I'm Yogi!
I’m a gentle, one-year-old Great Pyrenees with a heart as big as my paws. My story is a little bittersweet—my first family loved me very much, but they had to move far away and couldn’t take me with them. They made the tough choice to leave me in the caring hands of Furever Tails Animal Rescue, hoping I’d find a new family who could give me the home and love I deserve.
I’ll admit, I can be a bit shy when we first meet, but once I get to know you, my true personality shines! I’m a total love bug who enjoys calm cuddles and gentle play. One of my favorite games is “catch me if you can” in a safely fenced yard—I’m surprisingly light on my feet for a big guy! I get along well with other dogs, but I prefer friends who are more laid-back like me. High-energy pups can be a little overwhelming for this gentle giant.
I’m already housebroken and kennel trained, and I’m very well-behaved when left alone—no chewing or mischief here. But because I’m a Great Pyrenees, I do need space to stretch my legs and explore. A fully fenced yard or some acreage to roam is a must for me—I’m not suited for apartments, condos, or tethering.
Before welcoming me home, I’d ask that you learn a bit about my breed. We Pyrenees are known for our calm, loyal nature, but we also have specific needs when it comes to space, exercise, and grooming (this fluffy coat doesn’t brush itself!).
I’m looking for a family who understands what I need to thrive—someone who can offer patience, space, and a whole lot of love. In return, I promise to be your loyal, sweet-natured companion. I may be big, but my heart is even bigger, and I know I’ll make some lucky family very, very happy.
Could you be the forever home I’ve been waiting for?

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.
While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.
