Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Bonnie! She was found wandering around in a neighborhood in the rural south and taken to a dog pound in KY.  When her owners did not claim her, HDDCR happily stepped in to care for her.  Bonnie is gentle and submissive girl with her people, and she has a submissive grin that is seen from time to time as she wiggles her butt and tail full force. Her whole body dances when she is excited, and she is often enthusiastic about showing affection. Bonnie is housebroken and usually quiet in the house. She loves being outside and enjoys laying in the grass. She also loves to work out her zoomies as well by bouncing around the yard as you chase her. True to her breed, she does monitor her yard and chases away would-be intruders like squirrels. She is trained on both the flexi-leash and plain 9-foot leather lead for walks. Bonnie came to us with behaviors like jumping up for attention and hugs (we think she was encouraged to do this in the past). We also believe she was kept as an inside/outside working farm dog. Bonnie is very tolerant of being brushed, wiped down, and having her feet handled. If this beautiful girl sounds right for you, please submit your online adoption application today. Bonnie can’t wait to meet you!     Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
Need to rehome our Pyr, Tillie. She is about a year and a half old, AKC registered. Big girl is very sweet still has some puppy energy in her. She isn't aggressive and will tolerate other dogs but gets annoyed, really would do best in a home where she would be the only dog. Perfectly fine with cats we have several of those. Small rehoming fee may apply we are located near Flint, MI. Please message if interested for more details.

Story
Gentleman Jack is in need of a loving home. As a middle-aged male, he may not have the same energy levels as younger dogs, but he makes up for it with his sweet and docile nature. He is content with a more relaxed and inactive lifestyle, making him an ideal companion for those who prefer a quieter pace. Jack's easy-going personality makes him a pleasure to be around, and he gets along well with other dogs. His gentle nature and friendly attitude make him the perfect addition to any family. Despite his age, Jack still has so much love to give and is patiently waiting for someone to open their heart and home to him. With his sweet and lovable demeanor, Jack is sure to bring joy and happiness to whomever is lucky enough to welcome him into their home. This dog is sheltered in a foster based, nonprofit rescue. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Jack's adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $225. If transport is needed, his adoption fee is $525 (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to Your Browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
Theo is a 5 ½ year old Great Pyrenees with the sweetest disposition. He is calm, gentle, with the very best doggy manners we’ve ever seen. He first entered rescue in 2020 and was quickly adopted. In late 2024, he was returned by his adopter, stating that he had too many allergies and they could no longer care for him. PLEASE, KEEP READING! Theo was not in good shape on his return. He was much too thin, most of his hair was missing and his ears were badly infected. He had been on allergy meds with his previous owner with success. Since rejoining our rescue in late, Theo has completely turned around! Theo has received only flee and tick prevention and had his diet changed to grain-free. His fur has almost nearly grown back in and he has gained weight. He suffers with chronic ear infections, according to his vet records. We have been able to treat those easily. Officially, Theo is allergic to several weeds, trees and grasses, along with a few mites. A full report is available. Not everyone looking for a big, sweet, furry, shedding dog is willing to sign up for the extra’s Theo may need. We know that. But our firm belief is that every pot has a lid, and it’s our job to help him find that lid that fits him perfectly. There is no adoption fee for Theo. We will accept donations, but there is no fee. Our only goal is to place him in a good home with someone who loves him for the undeniable fantastic dog that he is. If transported via our usually pet transport company, there will be a fee connected to that. Honestly, for the right home…has his foster mom and biggest fan…I’d be more than happy to pay that as well. Please, if you have read this far, consider adopting Theo. You will never regret having the wonderful dog that he is. Our paws are all crossed for this boy! FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering.LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
Hi my name is September! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. I will seek comfort from my favorite people while I work on my confidence. If you give me a chance, you could be just the person I am looking for, and I could be the dog to make you feel complete!I am part of a “Perfect Pair”, that means I am bonded with another dog, August, and we must be adopted together! “Perfect Pairs” have special adoption fees which make it easier for families to make a commitment to the pair.
