Story
Great love and great friendships are staples to a great and fulfilling life. Put that in the form of pawprints and things cannot be better. Sisters are the cornerstone to a good times and great memories. Ethel and her sister Lucille are more than ready to spread cheer, love and great companionship to their one and only families. They are seven-month-old great Pyrenees mixes. Ethel weighs around 46 pounds, and it is estimated that she will be a large size girl of over 60 pounds when she is full grown. That is a whole bunch of dog and love to go around. For any house dog, a skill set is important for adaptability and Ethel is learning her house, crate and leash training. She aims to be a great companion, and good skills come with the territory. Ethel will benefit from lots of friends, and she welcomes them in many forms. She is great with other dogs, children and adults. Come one or come all, Ethel is ready to put out the welcome mat. She has not had exposure to a feline since coming into rescue to that remains and unknown at this time. As with all puppies, Ethel is full of curiosity and wonderment and is ready to grow from adorable puppy to amazing dog with the right guidance and patience. She will need a home with someone who has the time, desire and energy to train and socialize her so that she can become the perfect lifelong companion. There is much in store for Ethel and her forever family, and it will be shared in stories for years to come. Happy times and great love go hand in hand when you bring Ethel into your life and home. The adoption fee for Ethel is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. Story
Meet Max! He’s a lovable giant—a Great Pyrenees German shepherd mix. He’s 2 years old and about 65 pounds. He’s friendly and loving. This big boy has boundless energy and a cheerful personality that will bring joy to any home. He’s house trained and absolutely adores people, especially kids. He was surrendered to us because his previous owner didn’t have a fence and the neighbors were threatening to shoot him.Max is a social butterfly who loves hanging out with other dogs—as long as they mind their manners. He’s all about good vibes and gets along great with friendly, easygoing pups. Rude or pushy dogs? Not Max’s style! With his happy-go-lucky attitude, Max is ready for adventures, snuggles, and a family to call his own. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s as sweet as he is large, Max might just be your perfect match!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.December 15, 2024, 6:04 am

Story
We have more dogs being turned into rescue. We will keep our site update as they come in, are vetted and determined ready to be adopted. If you have never had a Pyr Puppy you need to read this : http://www.nepyresq.org/page/i-want-a-great-pyrenees-puppy-50.html The application process is to go to our website and fill out an adoption application form. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-47.html We do not accept INVISIBLE fencing for the following reasons: 1) Most Pyrs ignore the pain and go through it. 2) This is a guardian breed and this fencing does not keep people or other animals out of your yard. The Pyr could take them as a threat or be attacked. WE do not allow them to be tied out. It makes them aggressive. If you do not have a fenced yard then a fenced area would be acceptable. Most of these dogs are not a dog park breed. They bark a lot and can bother your neighbors.
