Story
Dutchess is a Great Pyr mix. 1 yo spayed. 65 lbs. She is great with kids, dogs and cats. She is potty trained and even though she is deaf she likes music!!! This beautiful girl was adopted in Texas after being found in sweltering heat at just 2 months old. Sadly her owner was diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing rigorous treatment and couldn't keep her so they let her go live with a friend who was to care for her. This didn't work out so well as they were letting her wander. Because this girl is deaf, for her safety was taken into animal control. If you are the person who could give this wonderful girl her true forever apply today!!! Thank you for choosing rescue. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US BY EMAIL OR PHONE TO TELL US YOU ARE INTERESTED IN DUTCHESS. We are all volunteers and we cannot move forward without your application. If you would like to be considered to adopt DUTCHESS go to our website and fill out an application. www.sunnypawsrescue.org. Be sure you receive a confirmation email after submission and someone will be in touch promptly.

Story
Glory is a beautiful calm and gentle Great Pyrenees mix with one blue eye. Glory and her brother, Baron,(also up for adoption) were strays picked up by TX animal control and placed in a local shelter. Both are friendly with everyone. They do well with both their senior and puppy foster siblings. They have no aggression and even eat from a community bowl. See that here: https://youtube.com/shorts/lAau-CKA4kI?si=H9d7zRsvVVc3EjRQRight now they use a doggie door to do their business and share a crate. Actual housetraining is in process. These precious ones love to spend a lot of time outside playing. Both enjoy chasing stuffies but their older puppy foster mate foster usually gets it. Then it’s a friendly game of keep away!!!Glory also loves the water. They have not yet been exposed to cats, but most puppies do well with them with gradual introductions to them. Both get along great with the 4 year old in the household. The best home would be a place where that understands the GP breed. And, of course understands the needs of puppy training. Children or other dogs will be a plus. This sweet girl truly deserves to find her forever home. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Story
Adoption donation $499 weight  79 lbs  Age: 1 year as of 3/23/2024              Logan is a friendly and sweet boy who is the quintessential family dog, he adores children and just loves to be with his people. if you sit down, you will likely find his big head nestled on your lap. He loves toys and bones and is a very easy-going boy. Logan is 100% House trained.        Logan definitely needs a yard, this boy loves to be outside! He doesn’t go far, if you call him, he will come right over to you. he is leash trained and if you have a big enough crate, he will go in there for naps.         Logan’s father is a purebred Great Pyrenees and mom is a 35 lb mixed breed. His original owners in Mississippi put two of his sisters in a cardboard box in front of their house with a sign that said “free puppies.” Wags rescued the puppies and found them loving homes. The owners refused to give up Logan and his sister Lila but kept them tied up outdoors. Wags was finally able to  convince them to relinquish the two and Logan and Lila went to the rescue, enjoying freedom for the first time. Lila has just been adopted, now it’s time for Logan to find a loving home of his own.         Logan got along well with most of the dogs at the rescue, although he’s definitely the alpha male and does not like to be challenged by another male. In his foster home in the northeast Logan lived with three females, including a puppy who jumped all over him, and he just wagged his tail. We’ve noticed that he does fine with small and medium dogs but tends to get more alpha with dogs his size. For that reason, we would prefer a home with dogs smaller than him or just a home where he can be the center of attention, he really just loves people so much.        Logan has been neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccines. He is a healthy boy who is ready to make a lucky family a loving companion. All Wags adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip  and transport to the northeast. Meet Bonnie and Dracula! These two big cotton balls of love are only nine months and they're ready to find homes of their own. Bonnie and Dracula get along well and could go home together but wouldn't mind being separated either. Both are very sweet and love petting and spending time with their people. Bonnie is a little more shy but she warms up in no time at all. They are husky mixes and as such tend to be vocal and high energy. **if you are interested in Bonnie and Dracula, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and come in during our open hours**
