Story
Yeti #9827 is a handsome 4-year-old male, Great Pyrenees mix. He is house and crate trained. He is a loyal, happy bouncy 80 -pound companion to 4 humans. He knows commands and obeys them as any self-minded, stubborn GP does! He is smarter than your average pup and is curious and resourceful. He is routine driven. Yeti enjoys watching over his surroundings and patrols his fenced in backyard; note that he is in an indoor dog. He enjoys car rides and going on walks. While Yeti lives with other dogs, his ideal home is one where he is the only male, a single dog, or with a nonconfrontation female. He is seeking a home with GP or large breed experience. Meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applicants. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the online application: https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-form/ If you have been approved within the past 6 months and are interested in Yeti, please reply to your approval email. Story
Max was born on 3/16/23. He is a Great Pyrenees mix and weighs 134lbs. He is neutered and up to date on shots. Max needs room to roam! Loves to be outdoors and playing with other dogs. This may include some wrestling and zooming together. Max loves his people and craves attention. He wants to be with his humans at all times. He is still learning independence and doing things on his own. Max loves his neighborhood walks and was not reactive to dogs who barked and lunged at him. Max has lots of love to give and enjoys affection. His ideal family will provide the training he needs and will be comfortable and capable of handling his size and weight. Bonus points for previous Great Pyrenees experience. Please Note: We review veterinary care for applicants. This includes regular well visits, core vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm, and tickborne tests, as well as regular monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. Please contact your veterinarian’s office to give them permission to speak to us before we call them. Applications are available at www.puppypawsrescue.org If your application meets our adoption criteria, we will contact you within 1 week. At that time, you will be contacted (usually by email) to schedule a phone interview and a virtual home visit (Facetime, Skype, etc). Due to the volume of applications, applications that do not move forward to an interview may not receive a reply within that time frame.

Story
When HART first rescued Newton, this gorgeous boy was very shy. Since being in a loving foster home, he has shown significant improvement! He is less shy when meeting new people, and after proper introduction, he seeks out chin scratches and belly rubs. Newton has enjoyed running in the backyard, chasing a ball, and he will certainly need a secure, fenced yard to safely explore and get his zoomies. Newton is house trained, sleeps well at night in his kennel, does not have separation anxiety, occasionally barks but settles down, takes treats gently, and knows basic commands to include 'sit', 'stay', 'wait' and knows to wait for 'yes' and 'OK' before proceeding. He walks well on a leash particularly in the neighborhood and on trails but needs additional training to prevent occasional pulling. He sheds his gorgeous coat once a year and fortunately loves to be brushed with a wire brush to keep it under control. He gets along well with other dogs after a proper introduction and would benefit from having another confident dog in the home. Newton is not at all aggressive and responds to scary or new situations by backing away so he can get comfortable on his own terms. As he continues to overcome his shyness, he has shown that he is eager to explore, have new experiences, and meet new people. Newton is looking for a family that will continue with his training and socialization to ensure he will reach his potential. Inquire about meeting Newton because it will be love at first sight! Thank you for your interest in Newton! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=16868 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Newton, or to submit an online application. Story
Meet Tati, a lovable 3 yr dog who is currently looking for a new home. Tati is unique in that she gets along well with other dogs but tends to be reactive towards humans. This means she might bark or growl when she feels threatened or overwhelmed by people. Despite this, Tati has a lot of love to give and, with the right owner who understands her needs and can provide a calm and structured environment, she has the potential to thrive. If you have experience with reactive dogs and are looking for a loyal companion, Tati could be the perfect match for you.

Story
Odin is a truly handsome, young, 88 pound, Great Pyr boy that was born 1/2/23 and is looking for a family to love and chill with.  This big boy is fully grown and is the so very easy going and good natured.  He was raised with his brother Thor on a country property owned by a senior lady who has come to realize that both the brothers need homes where they can be an inside dog and part of the family.  She cannot provide that and so is now willing to let each one go to separate families that might have children (he loves children) and to be a part of maybe even living with other dogs or cats.  He is good with everyone he meets and all creatures.  This boy is not housebroken as he has never been inside for any length of time to learn the rules and the signals for potty breaks.  He is a loving and easy dog to have around and we want him to become a part of a family life that offers him a big dog bed and lots of love and guidance.  He is good with meeting new people and doesn’t bark excessively at all.  He will bark if he is bored outside in a pen.  He plays nicely and is fun and happy.  If you are interested in this one year old handsome boy please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and let us know where you live:  city and state and let’s start a conversation about him possibly becoming a part of a special family lifestyle.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.           PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm
