Story
Meet Chunker! This handsome two-year-old Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd mix weighs a solid 91 pounds. Chunker has had a tough journey, coming to the shelter for the fourth time—first three times as a stray and most recently on 1/17/2025, surrendered by his owner due to his knack for escaping.Chunker has a strong prey drive when it comes to cats, so he would thrive in a cat-free home where he can be set up for success. He grew up alongside other dogs, is comfortable around them, and has reportedly done well with children.Having lived outdoors, Chunker would need a home with a secure fence or other reliable means of keeping him safely on the property, as he loves to explore. If you’re looking for a loyal and adventurous companion with a big heart, Chunker might be the perfect fit!
